Three Weeks Later~
Night fell once again over Ninjago City.
In the distance, a dark figure can be seen looming over the sky light of Ninjago's finest museum of history. A small smirk grew over their face before they pulled out a small device. The shady figure used it to carefully cut out a hole in the glass. It wasn't long before an opening was made, and the figure slid silently down to the floor with a rope. Once their feet reached the ground, the concealed figure noticed a shadow above them. They tilted their gaze up, but no one was there. The figure narrowed their eyes before continuing their mission. The figure walked through the halls of the enormous building, cautious for any night guards on duty. As if on cue, a flash of light could be seen in the distance. The shady figure hid quickly behind a pillar as the old security guard past with a loud yawn. Once the guard was out of sight, the figure raced towards one hallway that caught their eye. Above the hallway was a sign that read "Ancient Scrolls".
As silence grew over the shadowy figure, a smile could be seen on their face. The figure stared at the small exhibit in front of them. Four scrolls were placed neatly in the small area, each forming a half circle around any viewers in the room. All four scrolls were concealed tightly inside glass containers, but only one of them was important to the shady figure. They inched slowly towards the scroll on the far right. As the figure took out their device to make a hole in the glass, a blade flew past and hit the wall, inches away from thief's face. The figure whipped around to see another person in the shadows. They slowly walked out of their hiding place to reveal a warrior concealed in blue and grey armor. A helmet hid her face, but one could tell she should not be messed with.
"Hey, you're uh... that Phantom Ninja, right? Looks like we've crossed paths again," The shady figure spoke in a rough tone. It was clear that they were a male. A straw hat covered his head of long, brown hair. The other figure, now known as the Phantom Ninja, didn't reply. Instead, she raised her weapon higher, ready for war.
"Still not gonna talk, huh? Well, fine by me. I just came here to get what I need and be on my way, okay?"Still no answer. The phantom stepped closer, ready to attack. The male figure then slumped before sighing.
"Just perfect," He groaned before getting in a fighting stance as well. The two were about to charge until another voice spoke up.
"Stand down, Ronin," A deep voice called out. The thief and phantom stopped what they were doing and turned towards the hallway's entrance to see another fighter had entered the ring. She wore samurai themed armor across her whole body with a mask and microphone to conceal her face and voice. A sword was in Samurai's hand. However, her guard was lowered once she noticed the Phantom Ninja.
"Who are you?" Samurai asked her. The Phantom Ninja, though, simply ignored Samurai and charged right for the thief. Ronin dodged quickly and rushed in the other direction. He took out a bigger device and fired at the phantom. The warrior dodged from the sudden nets flying past her. She took out a second katana and slashed the nets to ribbons. The Phantom Ninja then threw throwing stars directly at the thief. Concerned for things going too far, Samurai charged in and blocked the flying weapons with her sword. Samurai and the phantom both glared each other down.
"I don't know who you are, but you're clearly no hero," Samurai spoke with anger before walking closer.
"Whatever vendetta you have with Ronin, you'll have to get through me first."The Phantom Ninja remained silent, but her answer was clear once she raised both katanas. Samurai was the first to charge with her sword flying high. Their weapons clashed on impact. Phantom whipped around to gain an upper hand, but Samurai used the opening to kick her away. Phantom jumped back and landed swiftly. She charged again, flinging more of her throwing stars. Samurai ducked and dodged each tiny weapon, but the darkened room caused her to miss one. It struck her sleeve and trapped her against a wall. The Phantom sent more her way until both Samurai's arms and legs were stuck on the wall. Once she was trapped, the Phantom turned her attention back to the thief. Ronin had already grabbed a hold of the scroll and was now standing by a fire alarm. Both the Samurai and the Phantom froze at the sight.
