"So what you're telling me is that you want to fight one of your own? In an attempt to make him understand that the Sokovia Accords is a bad idea?" I questioned, these idiots made zero sense, they literally want to fight each other to prove that they don't need to be government sanctioned, it appears to me that they need to be sanctioned.

"In layman's terms yes, what happened in Nigeria was a mistake, mistakes happen, as much as we try we can't save everyone, Ross doesn't get that." Steve explained, I still didn't get it.

"So why don't you offer a counter, instead of punishing all of you, punish the one that killed those Wakandians." I offered as an idea but Steve shook his head.

"She's just a kid Julia, she was trying to save people and she did, if she didn't contain the explosion I would be dead along with more than 26 people." I nodded along with him but still didn't quite see how this wasn't their fault.

"You also put a child in the field who has barely any control of her power? That's reckless, I understand that she saved more people than she killed but she still caused casualties." At this point it was well past 2am and it was just Steve and I talking in my kitchen. Natasha and Nick were only here to track me down, Nick had no hand in this business of the Sokovia Accords and Natasha was fully on Tony's side when it came down to it, she was just paying back a favour to Steve.

"Okay maybe we put Wanda in the field too early, she doesn't fully understand her powers she's just very strong and we needed her against Crossbones."

"I understand that Steve but 26 people still died, the goal is always 0 casualties and the fact that she's a 'kid' as you put makes The Avengers look incompetant of training." Steve was frustrated, I could tell but he also knew I wasn't wrong.

"Look Steve, I think you're right but if you're looking at it from the outside it doesn't look good, I agree that The Avengers shouldn't be a government agency but no ones going to see any other way to deal with this." I stood up to signify that I was done speaking about this for now.

"I guess that's it?" Steve asked, I just couldn't see this not turning into an all out war between The Avengers and I wasn't about to get involved in that regardless if James would have done it. I'm not my brother, I've proven that over the years.

"I'm sorry Steve but this is going to turn into a war and even though I've seen beyond my fair share of battle I just can't get involved. I was tired of it after World War 1, I only joined again for James." I explained, if anyone understood me it was Steve, he saw the horrors of war first hand, he could understand how truly tired I was of fighting mostly because I knew if I lost my temper just once someone would die and The Avengers didn't kill.

"I understand, if you change your mind please, give me a call." Steve placed his card on my coffee table and slowly walked towards my door, I felt this inclination to tell him why I was truly saying no, it wasn't just the possibility of a war between enhanced individuals, it was the fact that once I start I don't stop and I don't want to kill anyone.

"Steve, trust me, you don't want me to call you, it's better this way." I tried being cryptic but Steve just looked confused.

"The more help we get, the better Julia, I can't see you not helping us being beneficial."

"Yeah what that file doesn't tell you Steve is the amounts of people I've killed not only just in war but in life, it doesn't tell you that when I start I can't stop, it doesn't tell you that Stryker's torture just enhanced what was already there. A literal killer instinct, I've killed more people for pissing me off then your giant green monster could ever." Steve didn't look phased at all.
