1 month later- Yukon, Canada
"Hey, what are you doing?" Natasha asked as she came up behind me and tried looking at my computer screen but I closed it before she got too close.
"Nothing of concern, just research."
"What kind of research might that be?" She asked again and I could tell she wasn't going to let it go.
I stood up blocking her way to my computer and she quirked her eyebrow at me. I turned around quickly to try and grab the computer but somehow Natasha beat me to it and pulled it out of my grasp.
"Natasha, I'm serious, it's nothing to worry about, I'm using a secured network so no one can find us so please give it back." I asked again but Natasha didn't budge.
I didn't want to hurt her or attack her so I just came forward and before I could do anything a wisp of red energy scooped the computer out of her hands and placed it back in mine.
"Thank you Wanda." I said as I turned around knowing she was there.
"No problem." She smiled.
"You guys are no fun" Natasha grumbled as she moved to sit on my bed followed by Wanda who also made herself comfortable.
I placed the computer down on the desk and I knew I couldn't look at what I was looking at before with the two girls in my vicinity so I just tucked it away in the corner.
"Oh c'mon, don't let our presence stop you from your research." I flipped her off and leaned into my chair more.
Over the last month Natasha and I have spent a lot of time together and I grew to like her, the same happened with Wanda too, I made a connection with her through our mutual childhood trauma's and I was helping her deal with it along with controlling her abilities. Natasha kind of just liked to linger around me and make fun of me when she got the chance which I thought was cute if I was being 100 percent honest, she was lighthearted and she made everything seem a little better which was rare considering we were in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere Canada freezing to death because we're still fugitives.
"Julia, is everything okay?" Wanda broke me out of my thoughts and I nodded.
"I'm fine, just thinking, like I always do." I tried laughing it off but I really only had one thing on my mind and it was really bothering me.
"You do know I can read minds right?"
"Wanda! You promised you wouldn't!" I groaned at her but I knew she hadn't, if she did she would be more worried.
"I didn't! Just a friendly reminder that I can." She laughed and I rolled my eyes at her, why I was hiding my computer I didn't know, I felt like I could trust both of them but I didn't want them to tell Steve, he was getting seriously ansty doing nothing.
"Fine." I said and I picked up my computer and threw it on the bed.
They both opened it and furrowed their eyebrows so I decided to explain.
"There's been a string of murders going all the way up eastern Canada, the one similarity they have is that their throats were ripped out." I tried to explain. Wanda still looked confused but for Natasha it clicked.
"You think it's James?" never mind it clicked the wrong way for her but close enough.
"God no, I know where James is, he doesn't want me to find him, I kept tabs on him before Steve made me a fugitive." I joked trying to make light of the fact that my brother didn't want anything to do with me.
