2023- Just Outside of Grovedale, Alberta: Day 5
"Wait, 50 percent of life?!" I questioned.
"This purple testical looking fucker, wiped out 50 percent of life?" Monica laughed but I was dead serious, I hated that this purple fuck wiped out half the universe.
"Yes, by using the Infinity Stones" Darcy explained, bringing up a photo of the said stones.
"A bunch of rocks? Had the power to wipe out the universe?" Darcy nodded.
"They consist of the elements of Time, Space, Soul, Mind, Power and Reality. When they come together they can literally do whatever you want with the snap of your fingers, well and a gauntlet to help wield them because no mere mortal can hold an Infinity Stone. You get it?" I nodded but I didn't really, I just thought they weren't that vital to my history.
"Okay, so to recap, between 2016 and 2018 I've been a fugitive, I've been a Nomad going on missions saving the world in secrecy, spent 6 months in France after James died, was kidnapped by the Red Room aka KGB, poisoned by the adamantium in my body, mind controlled with just the utter of the word 'Wolverine', transplanted with Vibranium, fought aliens, lost to Thanos, 50 percent of the world disappeared, found Thanos and killed him and then nothing?" I questioned.
"Basically, you left the Avengers and went rogue, we don't have anything on you except for this video footage of you fighting Sam, Rhodey and Steve in the middle of Moscow in 2021 and then nothing until 2023." Monica said putting in the disc which I finally learned was a disc. I learned a lot about technology in the last few days, so after I had the 2016 recap Darcy and Monica realized I knew nothing about the technology of today so they gave me a crash course.
Monica put the disc in the computer and played it. It was security footage as usual and I watched on as I handed Rhodey and Sam their asses while I fought off Steve with ease. The vibranium transplant apparently made me lighter so I was more agile, hence my fighting abilities were 10 times better than they were in 2016. I also learned who all the Avengers were, well most of them and I also learned Sam was my other best friend which gave me some sort of semblance, I remembered him in some way. Slowly people's faces matched names, all except for one that seemed to be around all the time but not much was known about her.
The footage ended and I looked up to Monica confused, why was I even fighting Sam, Steve and Rhodey? It didn't make sense if they were my friends.
"I know what you're going to ask but I don't know if you're ready for that." Monica said but I looked at her pleadingly.
"Please, I don't understand."
"You went rogue Julia, you felt so lost and broken after the blip, you felt like you failed so you lashed out, wiped out a bunch of bad guys who you thought didn't deserve to survive the blip. They called you the Dark Wolverine for a long while. And then you just stopped." Monica explained, I went around killing people? Bad people? I never really was a killer unless it was war but my rage was a whole other story. A lot of blood was already on my hands.
"I just stopped?"
"For 2 years after you attempted to kill Secretary Ross, Agent Romanoff stopped you and then you came here." Monica said, gesturing to Grovedale. I decided to just live a little farmers life?
"Who dragged my ass back?"
"That would be Sam Wilson. There was an opportunity that everyone could be brought back and Sam managed to convince you since you were pardoned from all crimes. He gave you hope and you took it. Turns out he was right." Darcy said with a smile.
