2016- Hebron, Newfoundland and Labrador

"It's not exactly where we grew up but it's close enough." I explained to the others as I pointed to the map.

"I thought he was killing people along the shoreline?" Sam asked.

"He was but he somehow found out I was tracking him and now that he knows; this is an entirely different ball game."

"What do you mean?" Steve questioned and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"I mean, we have to be smarter, we can't travel by quinjet, we have to find other means."

"You mean a car?"

"Preferably two going in opposite directions but ending up in the same place."

"Victor can't track two cars at once, he's only one man. He's good but not that good, chances are he will track the vehicle I'm not in because it will seem too obvious." I explained.

"Okay, so we travel separately but remain in contact on the secure line." Steve agreed but I didn't.

"No, his hearing." I said gesturing to my ears.

"We need to go radio silent." I could see the nervous look on Natasha's face and it confused me for a moment because she never really gave away what she was feeling at any moment.

"That's dangerous." Wanda spoke up.

"We don't have a choice, we can't let him figure out what we're doing."

"In a week's time if one of us doesn't make it to the designated meet up spot or if anything goes south turn the locator on and we'll find you, at that point discretion goes out the window. I'm not willing to risk any of you." I finished and Steve nodded in agreeance.

"It's settled, now where's the meet up point?" Steve questioned.

"Victor can't go to the town we grew up in because it doesn't exist anymore, he circled a pretty broad area but he's definitely within the circle, he's taunting me, he wants me to find him."

"So I'm gonna assume it's the town that replaced ours; Grovedale." I said, circling it on the map.

"Great, I always wanted to visit the Canadian Rockies." Sam said sarcastically.

At this point in the night I was very drained so I didn't have the energy to fight with Sam, even though he truly knew how to get a rise out of me. I looked at Steve who was looking over the map and coming up with two routes with the help of Natasha, she seemed focused on figuring out the safest plan since she kept repeating that over and over.

"I'm going to get a car." I said after an hour of listening to Steve and Natasha trying to figure out the map.

"What do you mean by; get a car?" Steve asked and I laughed.

"I'm going to steal one Cap." I explained; Steve just gave me a disapproving look but how else was I supposed to find a car.

"But I need one more person to come with me because we need two." I pointed at Sam before Natasha or Wanda could volunteer.

"Let's go Bird-boy." Sam rolled his eyes but stood up anyway.

I looked at Wanda briefly before exiting the cabin with Sam following behind me; she seemed to be okay with me going off into the night but nodded at me as a 'be safe'. I didn't look back at Natasha though because I knew she would be pissed I didn't allow her to come but she needed to stay with Steve and figure out a plan, two heads were better than one.
