with a sigh, he braced himself and kicked the door open
as soon as he entered the house he was immediately surrounded by extremely relieved faces, some he could tell had been crying
"sonic!" they shouted as they rushed to his side
"oh thank god" vector and rouge simultaneously as they took a child each away from sonic, leaving a hyperactive echidna on the blue hedgehog's shoulders
"don't ever make me worry like that again!" rouge warned as she held shadow close
"there's something you guys need to know" sonic practically whispered, but it still gained the attention of the crowd
