"Who are you calling vulnerable hedgehog!" an angry echidna asked before returning his attention to his aching head

sonic would have laughed at the comeback if he wasn't so worried about his friend's conditions

"did metal do anything to you that caused your headaches?" sonic asked

"no, it just came when I woke up" knuckles answered with a grumble

"must be an effect of Eggman's device" Tails pondered with concern, looking as each child had similar effects

now that the shock of a threat had ceased it the pain comes back tenfold, whilst knuckles buried his head into sonic's head, espio and shadow were smushing their's into their mattresses

"Should we give them a scan or something, to make sure it isn't anything internal?" Rouge asked with worry

"would be best" tails agreed as he went to pick up espio as he was the closest to him, vector going to pick up shadow, but neither seemed happy by being removed from their comfy beds, both biting groans as they were lead down to tail's lab to proceed with the scans

after a few minutes, the group were thankful that all it was a migraine

yes painful but it was much less bad than what they fearfully thought was wrong

"well with that, shall we find you something to ease your migraines," vanilla asked as she leads the group once more upstairs

making themselves comfortable in the living room as vanilla fetched something out of the kitchen

"just a bit of liquid paracetamol, appropriate for children below 1 year old, but it may cause you to feel drowsy" Vanilla noted with heeding

"anything to ease this ache from our heads" espio said through gritted teeth

knuckles and shadow didn't object so she proceeded, she couldn't help but feel sorry for them as they looked on the verge of tears

pouring the liquid into 3 small plastic spoons she began to feed the babies who took it with no hesitation

it took a while for it to take effect but once it did you could see a clear difference in how relaxed they were now

"so I must ask, what happened to us after Eggman kidnapped us?" espio asked suspiciously

"yeah, I can't remember a thing after I blacked out" knuckles added with confusion

"We were in those horrible chairs and the next thing I know I'm back in that crib with a horrible migraine" shadow finished recalling

all turned to the blue blur

(always me) sonic sighed internally before letting out a sheepish laugh

"well...when I came after you three I had just stopped him before he could zap you twice...but the first one still caused.....you all to act different" sonic explained lowly

"oh no"Knuckles whispered, fearing what sonic was going to say next

"when sonic came back with you three you acted like normal 17-month babies basically" Rouge finished ending the awkwardness

all the babies groaned in embarrassment like it was more painful than the migraine

"how much more dignity can we lose" shadow grumbled whilst covering his face with his hands, knuckles and espio doing similar actions but with the echidna hiding behind his dreadlocks and the chameleon hiding his face as he pressed it into vectors side

"Hey it's ok, you didn't do anything that humiliating" vector reassured although internally thinking (without our interference anyway)

"Can we just end this misery" espio mumbled, although it took a bit of interpretation since it was a little hard to understand

"Soon as your rest of the rest of your headaches and pain relievers, don't want anything affecting the reverse process" tails assured

although the 3 were annoyed that they had to stay in these bodies a little longer, they understood tails reasons and accepted it, sleep also helping them accept it more as they did not have the energy to fight

slowly falling back and resting onto the closest person, making them into their temporary beds

"well, this is going to be the last time this is ever going to happen" sonic chuckled as he held a sleeping echidna close to his chest

"Enjoy it while it lasts" rouge stated as she placed a small kiss on the little dark hedgehogs head

"We should get one last picture" Amy declared as she got up for her phone

"so are we going to show them the pictures?" charmy asked as he flew and sat on vectors shoulders

"well it's either show them and get killed or hide them and they find it themselves and get killed that was, so I say the first choice as it gets it over quickly and it's more honest" vector explained as he swayed the baby chameleon in his arms side to side

"sounds good to me" rouge laughed

"ok everyone, whisper cheese," Amy said as she angled her phone so she could get everyone and herself in the picture

"cheese" they all whispered with bright smiles

"Chao?" cheese asked in confusion
