"are you guys hungry?" Amy asked as she took out 3 bottles of warm milk from the pram

"I thought we only had one? have you been secretly been buying stuff behind my back?" sonic questioned with a laugh

"no silly, it's always good to keep spares, and I honestly thought knuckles would find a way to break them" Amy explained

Which resulted in knuckles give an embarrassed grumble

"ok, so open up you three" the pink hedgehog said as she handed out the drinks

All children were hesitant, especially on espio and shadow

"I'm not drinking this!" shadow shouted dropping it on the floor, a little higher and it would have broken

"and I also would not like to drink this liquid thankyou" espio added, placing the bottle next to him in the pram, much less dramatic then the baby hedgehog

Both turned to knuckles to see he would join their protest, only they were surprised to see him drinking away with the help on sonic

"what's wrong with you?" shadow asked, to disturbed and confused to see rouge picking the bottle up

"I'm thirsty, back of!" knuckles yelled defensively, not happy knowing he was being judged

"oh come now shadow, don't be a...well...you" rouge laughed as she wiped the top of the bottle and tried to make the hedgehog cub drink, although it soon turned into a pathetic display of to and throw, shadow still having some strength out of pure dignity while rouge being a little weaker as both hands were full

"are you sure you don't want any, it's supposed to be really good" Amy asked the baby chameleon who was having a hard time from redirecting his attention from the scene

"um, no thank you" espio politely replied folding his arms in a final statement

"ok" Amy sighed, she didn't want to push him like the others as he wasn't one to try and cause trouble on purpose like the others

"it's here if you want it" Amy said as she placed the bottle back into the carrier

"finally," rouge stated under her breath as she finally won and the baby hedgehog was made to drink the warm milk until each drop was gone

"I hate you" shadow grumbled as the bottle was removed from his sight, but like knuckles he actually did like the taste, but there was no chance he would admit it

"well now that's settled, let's get to shopping" sonic said trying to stay positive, although he would rather be doing anything else, especially since rouge and Amy were the biggest shopaholics ever

"me and Amy will get the stuff while you guys wait here and take care of the babies" rouge declared as she and Amy were about to leave with empty bags in hand and giving the baby echidna and hedgehog to sonic

"but that's going to take forever!" charmy whined in growing boredom

"stop being childish, you're in a public area" espio scolded

Even though he was now a baby he was still quite commanding

"at least I can walk" charmy replied cheekily blowing a raspberry

"that has no relevance to this situation!" espio stated in confusion

"yeah well-" charmy was about to argue before sonic stepped in holding a sleeping baby knuckles and shadow in arms

"guys you need to be quiet, it might be suspicious to other civilians if a baby is having a full-grown argument, let alone winning it" sonic shushed with a small smirk
