the gang comes to play

"afternoon faker" shadow greeted, his facial expression not a pleasant one

"hi shades, what brings you two by" sonic asked trying to cover his worry of their little secret

"well, well, not happy to see us big blue?" rouge asked teasingly

"what, no of course I am, it's just, I don't understand why you're here" sonic explained trying to act cool

"tails said something happened to knucki, so we came over to see what happened" rouge explained, her voice actually showing concern

Sonic sighed, if the two G.U.N agents suspected something was up, then they wouldn't be going away soon until their given answers

"Amy bring over here" sonic instructed sheepishly

"are you sure?" Amy asked heasiently, still keeping knuckles out of sight, especially when seeing his vibrant purple eyes pleading for help

Amy gave knuckles a sympathetic look and whispered "sorry" as she began to walk towards the trio

"now don't freak out" sonic instructed as he made room for Amy to join them, making the other two mobians quite confused

Slowly Amy removed her arm out of the way to show the two the tiny red shape that was knuckles

The two figures were shocked at the sight

"is,is that" Rouge stuttered pointing at the baby echidna

"yeah" knuckles grumbled

It only took a few moments before the jewel thief stole the cub out of Amy's grasp and shadow to try and muffle his growing laughter

"aww, your so cute knuxi, what happened to big red" rouge giggled as she pinched his cheeks

"eggman, now stop harassing me" knuckles yelled in protest, trying to swat her hands away

"your hand is so small" rouge cried/awed with the cuteness

"stop!" knuckles yelled

"what happened faker" shadow questioned as he regained his calm composure

"basically, eggman turned him into a baby and now we're waiting for tails to make something to reverse the effects" sonic explained with a shrug

"he's worked out the wiring so now it's just a case of putting it together" Amy added on

"you know what we should do?" the trio heard the bat begin to ask; she was now in the air holding a very annoyed cub in arms

"we should go to the park for a picnic" rouge finished

"oh, that's a great idea, we can also invite the chaotixs vanilla and cream" Amy added onto the idea with excitement

"oh chaos no!, I can't have them seeing me! I've already had so many people seeing me like this" knuckles exclaimed, begging for mercy

"sounds like someone's cranky" shadow commented with a smirk, making the cub growl in anger

"I think he's hungry, so I'll get started on the picnic" Amy stated as she went to the kitchen

"oh and you can put knuckles in either the swing or play pit while we wait" Amy quickly said before disappearing fully into the kitchen

Knuckles gulped as he slowly turned his head to face the jewel thief who was now displaying a massive grin on her face as she flew into the living room

"should we help Amy with the-" shadow began to ask the blue hedgehog before noticing sonic was no longer beside him

"shadow get in here!" rouge commanded

(traitor) shadow internally sighed as he followed the bat

As he entered, he saw the poor echidna struggling in the swing contraption

"why would they even buy this stupid thing!?" knuckles yelled as he tried punching the strings that connected the device to the ceiling

"because it's adorable" rouge replied patting the cubs head

"but it's so tight!" knuckles complained

"doesn't help you've got a massive padded diaper on" shadow commented as he sat on the sofa

"don't start!" knuckles warned pointing at the dark hedgehog

"or what, you going to go crying to faker?" shadow questioned

Knuckles was about to make a snark remark before rouge stepped in

"stop bullying the child shadow! Or you both will get a time out!" rouge yelled putting her hands on her hips, causing the two to stop bickering

"ready to go?" sonic questioned as he re re-entered the room

"yes" shadow stated as he left the room

"stupid shadow" knuckles huffed

"I know, don't worry, the big mean bully's gone now" rouge cooed as picked the cub out of the swing and walked out the living room and joined with the other members of their party

"can you please put him in the pram rouge" Amy asked as she packed the baskets

"vector and vanilla are on a date according to charmy so it will just be us, him, cream and espio" sonic explained

"joy" knuckles slumped as he was placed into the pram, him trying to fight but it was no use as he was strapped tightly into the wheeled contraption

"here, drink this" sonic offered as he handed the baby a warm bottle of milk

"why?" knuckles asked, having some trouble with the bottle, before he balanced it on the hand railings knuckles could hold

"you haven't been drinking a lot recently and it'll help you get stronger, maybe help with your motor skills" Amy said as she stated the facts

Knuckles pondered these facts and decided it was worth a shot

"ok" he sighed as he began to drink

"something tells me you did something to it" rouge questioned

"just some warm milk to make him more relaxed and less irritable" sonic winked

"smart" rouge whispered back, nodding at his sneaky plan

And with that they excited the house to meet up with their friends
