"And you say that they're going to kill ME" sonic chuckled at the sight

When rouge went out it wasn't only supplies she had brought back

She had bought various types of baby costumes, 3 versions for each baby

No one had objected to the idea, regardless of the consequences that they knew were going to come

But at this moment they were going to enjoy this time of dress up

Each member got their turn to decide what the three were going to wear

First was sonic

And to his wishes, the toddlers were dressed up in sonic onesies, with quills and everything

Next was charmy who decided on pirate costumes

Which each child got a different attachment

Knuckles was given a little green parrot who sonic joked looked like the Babylonian leader jet

Espio was given a little eye patch

And shadow was given a black beard

3rd was cream who decided on princess costumes

Knuckles had an emerald sparkly dress

Espio had a lilac and golden spiralled design dress

And shadow was put in a red silky dress

All having jewelled silver Tiaras

4th was vector who had decided on Sherlock Holmes styled costumes

Shadow was fiddling with the big iconic hat

Espio was waving a plastic magnifying glass with joy

And knuckles was putting the plastic iconic pipe in his mouth

And the final costume of the day was rouges choice of superhero costumes

The gang had even made up hero names for them, as cliche and cheesy as they were

Shadow - the red shadow

Knuckles - the guardian

Espio - espionage

"Real original guys" a voice from behind called

The group took a moment from dress up to see a very humoured looking tails watching from behind

"Ey, he's out of his cave" charmy joked as he flew towards the two-tailed fox

"Indeed, and you should all be pleased to know I have finally finished the machine" tails stated as he came closer to the group

"That's great buddy," sonic said with a thumbs up

"So once they get back their mentality we should be good to go," Amy said aloud

"Well it should be any day now, Eggman had better be right about that temporary thing, or else!" vector growled

"Well in that case we should enjoy this while it lasts, we won't get a chance to do this ever again" rouge pointed out

"It'll be good to get them back to normal...but I'll miss this, they just seem so happy like this" Amy sighed with honesty

"Yes, but it's seeing before all the events in their life that caused it, at least we can say we gave them a real childhood" tails assured

All the mobians nodded in agreement before returning their attention to the children

The three had changed but into their favourite costumes by seeing which one they reached out for

Shadow had gone for the pirate

Espio had gone for the superhero

And knuckles had gone to the green princess dress

They watched in amusement as knuckles and shadow began swapping hats with one another and play fighting, Espio even joining in after fiddling with his cape cape

It was the perfect assurance that they got plenty of pictures to prove what a great childhood was given to them
