migraines and ERROR'S

luckily their prayers had been answered as the night continued without a hitch

but when groans were heard instead of crying as everyone woke up, it had caused suspicion

as charmy and cream were the first to wake up they decided to investigate

walking into the room they noticed that the children were awake

but holding their heads in pain, curling into themselves

"yikes, do you think they're ok?" charmy asked in worry

but a familiar voice answered instead

"we'd better if you would shut up" a small grumble was heard

"shadow?!" charmy asked with shock, not listening to the hedgehog's wishes as they rushed to his crib

"Please be quiet charmy" another voice commanded

"Mr Espio!" cream whispered in joy

they had finally regained their mentality

although it seemed to have come with a price

"We better tell the others" charmy announced as he and cream rushed out of the room

Knocking rapidly on each door

"What's going on ?" they asked as they sleepily came out of their rooms

"Their talking again! " charmy shouted excitedly

The group was about to cheer but were rudely interrupted by a loud explosion and screaming

"Guys!" sonic yelled as he instinctively ran to the nursery

And there he was greeted with the sinister silent figure of metal sonic who held knuckles, the small echidna trying to squirm out of his hold but it was fruitless in his hand and was about to reach for the other infants, both backing away as much as they could

"Metal stop!" sonic commanded angrily

The robot simply looked to sonic but seemed to want to hear what he had to say

"Your goal is to destroy me and that's all good and well but you're putting innocent and vulnerable Children's lives at risk for that, it isn't necessary! Please just leave them alone! There's no need to hurt them!" sonic tried to reason, thinking what Eggman was up to

And sonic knew Eggman all too well

"If I can't control them, then I'll just get rid of them"

He could only hope he could get through to the metal version of him before he had to resort to violence

Metal looked to the child in his hold and took a moment to properly analysis

His scanners processed the information

After analysing the data he did the last thing anyone had expected

He gave the little echidna back to sonic

He said nothing but the stare in his virtual red eyes seemed to have a language of its own

But as soon as he arrived, the faster he flew out of the house

Leaving the cloud of smoke in his wake

The group simply stared after the robot

"I know there's good in you metal and today you just proved it" sonic sighed with a small smile

There was still hope for him yet
