First of all, sorry for the cliff hanger in the last chapter lol. I loved your reactions to it!

A girl with curly brown hair lay in the middle of the sidewalk in a quiet neighborhood. She now had no name. She didn't want any name that he had ever called her. She was lost, heartbroken, and she blamed herself. A memory from just moments ago washed over her.

"Jules?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

She was all out of tears to be cried, but she still lay with her eyes closed in the middle of the cold sidewalk. The rain was almost gone and if she wasn't lost in what had just happened, she would notice that the sidewalk was cold against her skin, and her clothes were so soaked that they clung to her body.

"Julie!"

A distant voice yelled her name, but she couldn't hear. She didn't want to hear. "Julie" was no one to her anymore. "Julie" had let the love of her life slip through her fingers.

"Julie! Julie! There you are. Where's Luke?"

She thought she had no more tears, but at the very mention of his name, more came to her.

Reggie and Alex had found her. They felt something was wrong, so they went looking for them. When they only found Julie, lying in the middle of the sidewalk, they couldn't help but run up to her. Reggie decided to call her name. When the boys got to her, they noticed her crying. Alex's instinct was to sit next to her and comfort her. Reggie, on the other hand, decided to look around for his friend before a small voice arose from the cold, wet, pavement.

"He's gone."

It was so quiet that they almost didn't hear it. Reggie turned his gaze to the girl on the sidewalk, a confused expression growing across his face.

"Gone? What do you mean gone?" The brown-haired bassist questioned her.

Julie sat up and sniffled a little before speaking in a hoarse voice, "I mean he's gone, Reg. We- I- He... crossed over." She buried her face in her hands and began to sob again.

Alex and Reggie stared at each other.

"He... crossed over?" Alex finally broke out after a moment of silence. "I thought we had to do something together, but I guess not." He looked down at his lap, and if he could cry, he would have.

After a while of sitting in silence, the boys grabbed Julie by her arms and walked her back to her house. When they got to the porch, she broke free of their grip and whispered a slight "Thank you," before dragging herself inside. She barely made it up the stairs and into her room before collapsing on her bed and letting the sadness overtake her.

It had been just over a year since she had lost her mom, and now she lost Luke. She lost what she thought was the love of her life, her soulmate, her writing partner, and so much more. Lost in memories of the past few months, she let herself drift off to a much-needed rest.

Out in the garage, Reggie and Alex are both sitting on the couch, staring at their shoes, lost in the memory of their chosen family. Sure, they acted strong for Julie, but they were both just as sad and lost as her.

"What do you think his unfinished business was?" Alex spoke and broke the sad silence that had fallen on the one place that held all their happy memories.

"I have no idea, man. Do you think it had something to do with Julie?" Reggie's voice was gruff, he could barely speak, and his face was as red as a ripe tomato.

"That's what it looked like to me. Did you see her face? She saw him disappear."

The next morning, Julie woke up to her brother, yet again shaking her awake.

"Julie! This is the second time I've had to come to wake you up. Set your alarm. I'm not doing it again. Also, why are you wet?"

She glanced down at herself. She was indeed wet. She was cold, wet, and she was still in the same clothes as yesterday. When she looked up at Carlos, he sported a shocked look before speaking yet again.

"Have you been crying again? I'll tell dad."

Before she could speak, he was out the door and headed down the stairs to their dad. Because he left the door open, she could hear every word.

"Dad, Julie's been crying again," Carlos informed.

Ray sighed and said, "Tell her to stay home for today. I'll call the school."

Then, footsteps again. Carlos was running up the stairs and into her room to tell her what their father had said.

After Carlos had left for school and her dad had come to check on her and ask her what was wrong before leaving himself to go to work, Julie decided to take a hot shower. She sat in the shower for a long time, replaying the events that had happened in the past few months, the good and the bad.

"This is an interesting little relationship you and I have."

"...You're a star, Julie."

"No music is worth making if we're not making it with you."

"No regrets."

"I love you."

She would be okay. Just some healing, and then she could go on living. Hopefully.
