Hope's POV

I sat on the closed toilet lid. I had a pregnancy test in my shaking hands. I slowly turned it over, scared but excited to see what it said. I had had severe morning sickness for the past two weeks and i've been super tired. I looked down at the test. Two lines... I was pregnant. I started crying. I looked down at my flat stomach and smiled through my tears.

I can't believe I'm pregnant... This is amazing. I'm going to have either a son or a daughter. What is Hayes going to think? Is he going to want the baby? We are married now, so he wouldn't really leave.. Would he? How am I going to tell him?

I stood up and rubbed my stomach gently.

"Hi, there baby." I cooed. I smiled as I walked down the stairs.

I sat on the couch placing the lap top on my lap. I opened up a google page and typed in Cute ways to announce pregnancy to husband. I clicked on images and started browsing through. 

There was options from writing I'M PREGNANT on the bottome of the mug to placing the pregnancy test on a note that said YOURE GOING TO BE A DADDY and placing it on his pillow. I continued scrolling and found the perfect way to tell Hayes.

I pulled out a notepad and scribbled the items i owuld need:

Poster board

Pink frosted cupcakes

Blue frosted cupcakes

Nursing Pads

Diappers

Blue and Pink tissue paper

Blue and Pink marer

Pink and Blue onsie

I grabbed my keys and drove toward my local grocery store.

I stood in line waiting to check out. I placed all my items on the conveyer. The cashier rung up all my items.

"Going to a baby shower?" She asked.

"No, I'm actually telling my husband that I'm pregnant."

"Congratulations! Do you know the gender?"

"I don't, yet."

"Well, hope it goes well."

"Thanks. Have a good day." I grabbed my bags and went back to the house.

Hayes' POV

"Hey, baby girl." I said wrapping my arms around Hope's waist. She was in front of the stove cooking dinner.

She turned her head and pecked my lips, "Hey. How was work?"

"The usuall." I placed my chin on the top of her head.

"I'm sorry. Hopefully dinner will make up for it." 

"It's smells delicious. What is it?" 

"Marinated chicken on coconut lime rice."

"Mmmm... Why so fancy?"

"No reason. Just  felt like having something yummy for dinner."

"Anything you make is yummy." I kissed her cheek.

"Suck up."

"You love me though."

"I don't have a choice now that we are married."

"Ugh.. I am offended."

Hope giggled. 

                                                                                        ******

"I am going to head upstairs, I'm super tired." Hope said after dinner.

"Are you feeling okay? You seem to be tired a lot lately."

"Yeah, I'm sure it's nothing."

"I'll head up with you. I won't go to sleep but we could cuddle while I finish up some of my school work."

"Okay."

Hope and I stood up and walked hand in hand up the stairs. Hope was smiling like crazy.

"What?" I asked.

"I just love you so much." She responded leaning on my shoulder.

"Awww... Love you too!" I kissed her forehead.

I opened up our bedroom door and saw a hug sign on the bed that read,

YOU ARE GOING TO BE A DADDY! Boy or Girl?

There was a container half full of pink frosted cupcakes and the other half had blue. At the foot of the bed there was a onsie of both colors laid out next to one another. I looked toward Hope who had tears in her eyes.

"Are we?" I broke off.

She nodded. I picked her up and spun her in a circle! I kissed her nose.

"So you're excited?" She asked laughing through her tears.

"How could I not be? This is the best thing ever!" I placed her down and kneeled in front of her. 

I carefully lifted up her shirt slightly so I could see her abdomen. I kissed her stomach carefully.

"Hi there baby, I can't wait to see you." I said softly before placing another tender kiss on my beautiful wife's stomach.

I am going to be a dad!
