Ding. My text tone went off.

CAM: hey you ready?

ME: We had plans for today?

CAM: nope, but we do now

ME: okay. Give me about 15 minutes

CAM: k. I'm on my way.

I walked over to my small bathroom and pulled out my make-up. I apples some concealer and foundation before finishing off with a thin line of eyeliner on my water line and mascara. I pulled up my blonde ombré hair into a high pony tail before I changed out of my pajamas and into a pair of high waisted jean shorts and a black Nirvana shirt. I tied Cameron's red and black checkered button down around my slim waist before slipping on my black converse. I grabbed my hot punk penny board on my way out the door. I sat down on the cool cement of my porch and waited for Cameron to come.

A tall figure came rounding the corner. as the figure got closer I was able to tell that it was Cameron riding his dark green penny board. I jumped onto mine and rode up the steep hill meeting Cameron half way.

"Hey, Kirstena." Cameron said stepping off his penny board I did the same.

"Hey, Cam." I gave him a quick hug.

"All I get is a hug!" Cameron protested.

"Fine." I tiptoed and pecked his lips.

He pulled away and smiled, "Have I ever told you how pretty you are?"

"Yup." I stepped up onto my penny board cameron following suit.

"How about your eyes?" We started towards the mall.

"Mhmmm..."

"They're never the same color, they're usually a deep blue but their shade changes."

"That's because they change with my mood."

"Really? That's so cool!"

Cameron and I placed our penny boards down in the bike holder before walking into the mall. He quickly grasped my hand as we walked past a large group of guys that where checking me out. I smirked.

"Where to first?"

"Forever 21."

"Alright." Cameron bent down and I jumped onto his back, wrapping my legs around his waist and placing my hands on his shoulders for extra support. He started to walk toward Forever 21. As soon as we crossed the threshold into the store I jumbled off his back and began looking around.

"What event are we shopping for?" Cameron asked nodding to the dress that I had pulled off the rack.

"Family get together."

"Again?"

"Cameron, we have one every year."

"I know, but it's three days."

"Mhmmm... and you'll survive." I smiled as I turned.

"Sure." Cameron walked over to the opposite side of the store and started pulling things off the rack.

Great, now he's mad. Maybe I should've told him sooner.

"Kirstena, what about this one?" Cameron called.

I walked over to see the item he had chosen, "Oh my gosh! Cameron that's perfect!"

"Let's go try it on then." Cameron said smiling an handing me the dress.

I stood in front of the mirror admiring the way the dress looked on me. It was tighter around the bust area and hugged my waist slightly, showing of my curves. I had replaced my converse with a pair of edgy, black, skinny heels with silver dog collar like spikes on the heels and back fabric part of the shoe.

"Come on Kirstena! I wanna see!" Cameron called.

"Okay." I opened the dressing room door and stepped out. Cameron's jaw dropped and his brown eyes lit up.

"That nice, huh?" I asked twirling slightly so he could see the entire thing.

"Hell yeah! That looks absolutely stunning. It's a shame that it's going to be used at a family get together so I can't admire you in it for longer." Cameron said becoming gloomy on the last sentence.

"Unless you came with me." I said butting my lower lip.

"I can go to this one?!"

"Technically, no. You are however basically part of my family, so they'll have to deal."

"You sure they won't get mad?"

"Did you not hear my last sentence, they'll have to deal."

"Alright." Cameron said hesitantly but excited.

"Now go pick out your suit while I pay for my items."

Cameron and I headed back to my place to get ready for our trip the following evening. Every year we started out with the fancy dinner kick off so we left out our new outfits. After we finished packing Cameron wanted to watch Lilo and Stitch. I agreed in a heart beat. While Cameron put in the movie I went and popped popcorn. When I re-entered the living room Cameron was sitting down with a blanket draped over his lap. I sat down and pulled the blanket over me and curled up into Cameron's side.

About halfway into the movie I started to fall asleep. Cameron spoke snapping me back awake, "Lilo is really quite obnoxious."

"Mhmm..." I agreed drifting off to sleep.

"Why don't you head up to bed, sweet heart?"

"No, I'm fine."

"You sure?"

"Mhmm..." I said falling asleep again.

Cameron smiled before kissing my forehead gently, " You're so cute when you sleep."

Everyone in my family immediately loved Cameron. I knew they would. After all, how could they not? Some of my cousins seemed to like him a bit to much, but I made sure that they knew he was mine, Forever and Always.
