Hayes Grier *meeting his family*

This is an imagine for @storm_caniff sorry for the wait, girly... I hope you like it. :)

What if they don't like me? What am I going to do then? What am I going to wear? I can't look to fancy but I can't look like a hobo either...

I searched through my closet looking for the right thing to wear. I scanned all the dresses. I pulled out a blue lace one. Too fancy... I'll ask Hayes what the dress code is.

I pulled out my phone and texted Hayes.

ME: hey, what am I supposed to wear for tonight?

I turned off my phone and went back to starting to get ready. I sat in front of my vanity and started on my hair and make up. My phone went off.

HAYES: babe, stop stressing. they'll love you. whatever you wear will be perfect.

ME: you are no help. and i'm not stressing.

HAYES: just wear something. i really like your soft pink sweater with the gray scarf.

ME: i'll wear that then.

HAYES: okay, you'll look great. i'll be by in an hour to pick you up.

ME: okay. see you then

I pulled my hair into a fishtail braid and did natural looking make up. I went to my closet and pulled out my outfit. I laid it on the bed to see how it looked together. I nodded and pulled it on (the outfit is in the picture).

I walked downstairs and sat on the couch watching Pretty Little Liars trying to calm my nerves before Hayes showed up.

I heard a knock at the door. I stood and opened it. Hayes was holding a bouquet of my favorite flower and was grinning.

"Hey, baby girl! You look great." He kissed my cheek as I closed the door.

"You don't look half bad yourself." I grinned.

"You ready to finally meet the family?"

"I don't really have a choice.."

"Don't worry they'll love you."

**Skip the car ride**

Hayes pulled up to his house. My hands were shaking and my heart was speeding up.

"Come on, love." Hayes smiled and opened my door.

"O-o-okay." I muttered.

He stuck out his hand and I grasped it. We walked slowly up to the front door. Hayes opened it and smiled in an act to comfort me. I smiled back.

"Mom, I'm back with Xiomara!" Hayes called.

Hayes' little sister Skylynn came running over, "Haaayessey!"

Hayes bent down and picked Skylynn up and spun her, "Hey princess!"

"Can you play with me, please?"

"I have to see if mom needs help. Xiomara can, though."

Skylynn looked up at me with large puppy dog brown eyes, "Please, Xiomara?"

"Of course sweety."

"Yay! Hayes I like her, you should marry her." She ran up the stairs, her blonde ringlets bouncing with each step.

Hayes turned to me, "One down five to go."

"Yeah, I got this." I grinned.

"Of course you do. I love you." He kissed my cheek.

"Xiomara! Come on!" Skylynn called.
I grinned and walked up stairs. She was standing next to an open room wearing a cute little dress and holding another larger dress.

"This is for you." She passed me the dress.

"Are we going to be princesses?" I asked.

"Yes! Here put it on."

I obeyed. The dress was an ankle length black dress with a yellow bow across the waist.

"Wow. You're the prettiest princess ever, Xiomara."

"Aw, thanks sweet heart. I think you're the prettiest princess."

Skylynn grabbed my hand and pulled me into the room

"Look at my two princess." Hayes cooed from the doorway.

I looked up from the tea party I was having with Skylynn, "Hey Hayes."

"Dinner is ready."

"Okay. Skylynn come on let's get out of our dresses?"

"I want to stay in the dress.

"Okay sweetie."

I pulled my dress off and picked Skylynn up. Hayes wrapped his arm around my waist and we walked down the stairs.

"You guys look like a little family." A pretty blonde said flashing a blinding white smile.

I blushed and Hayes grinned, "Hopefully soon."

A pretty brunette laughed from the stove, "Hello Xiomara. I'm Elizabeth, Hayes' mom. This is Nila." She gestured to the blonde.

"Nice to meet you." I smiled.

"She's a keeper Hayes. Go ahead and take a seat, we are dishing the food out now."

"Do you need any help?" I asked.

"No dear, you're the guest."
"Okay."

"How did Hayes manage to win the heart of a sweet girl like you?" Hayes' step-dad Johnnie asked laughing.

"I ask myself the same thing." Hayes responded grinning at me.

"I think they're adorable." Nash said and Will nodded.

"It's getting late. Hayes you should take Xiomara home." Elizabeth said.

"Yes ma'am."

"Aw, mommy I don't want her to go." Skylynn whined.

"I'll just have to come back soon." I ruffled her hair as I walked past.

"Yay!" She cheered.

"Can I help clean up?" I asked.

"Not at all. You just get some rest and come back soon, I am so glad we finally got to meet.you." Chad said.

"Okay. Thank you so much."

"Bye dear!" Elizabeth and Nila called.

Hayes and I walked to the car.

*Skip Car ride*

"See, I told you they'd love you." Hayes said grinning.

"I don't know what I was worried about." I laughed.

"You did wonderfully. I'll see you tomorrow."

"See you then. Be sure to let me know when you get home so I know you're safe."

"Will do. Love you baby girl." Hayes kissed me on the cheek.

I got out of the car and walked to my room.

My phone went off while I was taking off my make up. I looked at it.

HAYES: made it home. skylynn was upset that you weren't with me. you should stop by tomorrow.

ME: i'd love to :)

HAYES: she'll be super excited. see you tomorrow.

ME: can't wait! love you.

HAYES: love you too honey.

That was the last thing I saw before falling asleep.
