I pulled up to the hotel where MagCon was performing that night in Orlando Florida. I decided to drive on my own. Don't get me wrong, I love the guys but I just needed some time to get my thoughts strengthened out. Mainly about Shawn...

I had been friends with him for ages, but I started to see him as more than a friend... I started noticing things about him that I've never seen before. I mean I've seen them but I haven't seen them, if that makes sense...

From his lazy eye to how he licks his lips when he sings. I kept thinking that he was going to ask me out, but he never did... Maybe I was just being hopeful...

Shawn's POV

When Cadence said she wanted to drive to Orlando on her own, I have to admit, my heart fell.

To tell you the truth I had started liking her awhile ago... Everyone seemed to recognize it besides her. The one who really counts. But today was the day. I had finally gotten the courage to ask bet out, and nothing was going to get in my way.

We pulled up to the hotel and I practically jumped out the door.

Taylor ruffled the top if my hair, "Excited to see your "girlfriend?" " he teased.

"Shut up." I blushed.

Cadence's POV

All the boys walked in the room. Shawn was the last to enter. His hair was ruffled in the back. I bit my lip as he grinned.

"Hey. Did you just wake up?" I asked.

"Nope. Taylor." He pulled me in for a hug. I breathed in his musky scent.

"You ready for today?" Shawn asked as I pulled away. It was only my second MagCon event.

"Yeah. It's not as scary as Nashville was."

"It's the second time now so.. I'll talk to you later, okay? I have to go do sound check and all that."

"Alright."

Shawn picked up his guitar case a carried it down the long hallway.

The event passed like a blur. We were already on our last performance. Shawn stood by the mic with his guitar strap slung over his shoulder.

"Id like to dedicate this song to my best friend, Candence."

Ouch. That one hurt...

"I love you Shawn!" One of the girls shouted.

Shawn ignored her and started to play. I immediately knew the song. I'm yours by Jason Mraz. It was my favorite. I grinned.

Shawn went to sing but stood there silently as if he'd forgotten the words. He blushed.

"Sorry you guys... Let's try this again." He started the song over and did the same thing.

"Gilinsky, get me a mic!" I whispered.

"Here." Jack handed me the mic. I switched it on and stepped on stage.

A chorus of screams and claps sounded from the crowd. Shawn looked over at me, wide eyed and nervous.

I started singing, him joining in.

I nodded. He beamed and scooped me up and spun me around. He set me down and gently kissed me.

"Awww." The crowd said before cheering again.

I blushed and so did Shawn.
