I woke up to an extremely bright light. I squinted as I tried to find it's source. The curtains in front of my window had been left open. I groaned and turned on my phone. It read

Monday, June 8th

Wait June 8th!! It's Hayes' birthday.

I jumped out of bed and started throwing things together. I was planning on heading to his house and decorating the front yard. He's not really into doing big things for his birthday, but I had to do something.

I grabbed the balloons and signs and tossed them into my trunk. I got in the car and sped off towards Hayes' house. He was coming home from tour and would be back in about an hour.

I pulled up to the large house and jumped out of the car. I pulled out the decor and got to work. I started with hanging the balloons on the pillars an the signs on the door. I was jamming to my good friend, Shawn's, new song Believe.

I stood back to admire my handy work. The giant, orange sign that hung in the middle of the door way read, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY POOH BEAR!!" In blue letters. The balloon designs varied from plain to smiley faces and birthday wishes. I grinned.

Damn. I did a good job.

I turned around and saw a small blue car coming down the street.

"Shoot!" I whispered.

I looked around and decided to hide on the side of the house. I poked my head around the corner so I could see my beautiful boyfriend'a reaction.

He stepped out of the front seat and ran his hands through his quiff. I bit my lip. Oh how I missed that. I bit my lip as he grabbed his suitcase and walked up the driveway.

"Megan?!" Nash called shocked to see me hiding in his yard.

I moved my hands over my neck in a fashion of telling him to shut up. He raised a single eyebrow. I pointed to Hayes and then the door.

"Oh. You're so sweet!" He called.

Hayes turned around, "Who're you talking to?"

"Megan." Nash pointed to me.

"What?" Hayes turned.

I tried to duck out of sight before Hayes could see me. I failed miserably. He dropped his bag and ran straight for me. I shrieked as he scooped me up and spun me around.

"Oh my gosh I can't believe you're there."

I giggled as he spun me around, "How could I not. But the decorations were why I was here before you got here... "

"I don't need decorations. I only need you my love." Hayes kissed my forehead.

"GROSS!!" Nash yelled.
