My text tone went off early in the morning. I groaned and turned it on. I expected to see my mom. I had just moved out a week before and she was struggling with it. I was shocked to see Jack.

Jack: hey pack a bag

Me: umm... Why?

Jack: we are going on a trip

Me: where? How long?

Jack: not entirely sure. a couple of days

I groaned and got out of bed. Jack and I had done this before, we just got in the car and drove. We would turn randomly and see where we ended up.

I grabbed a duffle bag and started packing the necessities. I grabbed my toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner and other hygiene items. I grabbed tshirts, shorts, crop tops, jeans, and tank tips. I tossed my sandals into the bag and a pair of vans.

I pulled on a pair of yoga pants and Jack's tshirt . I zipped up the bag and tossed it down the stairs.

Me: ready. When are you gonna be here?

Jack: already outside.

I bit my lip as I pulled on my pale blue vans. I ran down the stairs two at a time, phone and charger in hand. I grabbed the bag and ran outside.

Jack was standing beside my door. As I approached he opened it and waited patiently as I climbed in. He closed the door carefully and walked around to his side of the car.

He sat down and leaned over, kissing my cheek, "Good morning."

"Jack, it's only five. I don't count that as morning."

"I can still say good morning."

I nodded and leaned up against the door. Jack placed his hand in the center console and I intertwined my hand with his. He rubbed the side of my thumb tenderly.

"Go to sleep, love."

I nodded and drifted to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of the ocean. I sat up. Jack was no where to be found.

I opened the car door and stepped out. The wind blowing my brown hair around like crazy. I attempted to pull it back.

I started walking down the shore line, hoping I would run into Jack. He was still no where to be seen. I turned around and saw a large hill covered in sand.

'MARRY ME KAT?' was written across it. At the top of the hill kneeled a tiny little dot. I covered my mouth, tears rolling down my face. I nodded.

"SO WHAT DO YOU SAY?!" The tiny dot yelled out.

"YES!!" I yelled back.
