Shawn's POV

"You're really breaking up with me?" I asked as Alyssa sat on her bed, her head in her hands.

"Yeah. I am." She said simply.

"May I ask why?" I asked.

"I just can't handle you going away on tour all the time. I need someone who is going to be here... always."

"So you're saying that in order to be with you...I need to give up all my dreams?"

"Not entirely. Just partially."

"Seriously?"

"Shawn, this is serious. I'm sorry, but it's just not working."

I stood from the corner of her bed, "You know what? Whatever it's your loss. I'm going to make it big one day and you're going t o regret this." I walked out of her room.

Alyssa's POV

*Two months later*

I pulled out my phone and texted Shawn again.

ME: I know you're about t o preform... but I screwed up. I'm sorry. Please forgive me... I was stressed. Please respond... I love you...

I turned off my phone just to have it turn back on with a text notification. I logged in excited. My heart fell as I saw it was just my friend.

ANGELE (don't know your friend's name so I used mine...Hope that's okay): TURN ON THE TV NOW!!

I crinkled my eyebrows and did as she said. Immediately I regretted it.

Shawn was on my TV. He was standing on stage and he had his guitar placed on his lap and a mic up to his mouth. My eyes began to water.

"This is a song  I wrote about a month ago. It's about a recent experience. I hope you guys enjoy it."

Shawn started playing the guitar and the crowd became silent. I continued watching tears rolling down my face...
