Lesane
I pulled into the complex that Janet lived in and beeped my horn. I cleaned my car for her ass so she need to hurry up.
I saw her coming downstairs with her little girl. Damn, can't remember the girl name. I chuckled to myself before getting out so I could open the door for the both of them.
"I can open the door myself, Thank you." She mugged me and opened the back door before getting in. I looked at Janet and she shrugged and got inside. To be so young, she sure was a feisty motherfucker. But I was gonna have to get used to her if I was going to get with Janet.
I got inside and began driving to her parents. I reckoned I remembered from that last night.
"So..how was your day?" I asked trying to spark a conversation.
"It was good. Just worked most of it away." She simply said. I nodded, "That's wassup. Gotta get your coins so you can feed lil mama." I said before looking at her through the mirror. She looked at me before rolling her eyes and staring out the window.
Janet looked at me with a sympathetic look. I just shrugged and kept my eyes on the road.
We got closer so we just rode in silence but the radio played low. I glanced at them a few times to see if there was any sign of annoyance but surprisingly, they were poker faced. They had no real expression, just soft.
I pulled on the side of the roads because of the cars that filled the driveway, there was no way I could ever get through. I got and opened the door for the both of them again. This time, she got out and smiled at me before running off.
"Look, she's growing onto me. She's gonna like me." I nodded and shut the door, "Don't take it to offense. She does it to everyone." She laughed softly. I wrapped my arm around her and kissed her temple before walking inside.
The house was packed with a whole bunch of people.
"Damn this is deep." I looked around seeing the kids including her little girl running around, people sitting in little circles and having conversations amongst eachother.
"Y'all always do this?" I asked her and she nodded.
She pulled me over to another group. Bout' tore my arm off in the process.
"Mother?" She simply said. I sat still looking around at all the people. I was so surprised at how many people were here. I thought they only did deep parties like this in Compton.
"Lesane?" She sang as she nudged my arm, "Oh! Oh, I'm sorry. How y'all doing. My name is Lesane." I shook her mother's hand, "It's so nice to finally meet you. You're a very fine man. Now I see what you girls were talking about." Her mother said and looked at her sisters who earned a glare from Janet. I chuckled before speaking, "Thats very flattering. Thank you Mrs..." "Jackson," She answered, "Jackson. Mrs.Jackson." I gave her a charming smile so she had good intentions of me. Gotta start of clean.
"Mother? Where is Joseph?" She asked. Joseph. This gonna be a tough night.
"He's in his study with Lisa." Her mother simply answered. It wasn't long until Janet pulled me away and up the stairs.
"I feel like a teenager again the way I'm meeting your family." I laughed. She looked at me and rolled her eyes before laughing herself. We got to the big doors and she knocked before going inside.
