Meanwhile, at Janet's apartment, the mechanic was wrapping up his job
"Whew." He wiped the sweat off his forehead and took a look at what he did before nodding and taking out his bill book.
When doing so, a young man came outside and walked downstairs to greet him.
"How you doing?" He shook his hand.
"I'm doing good." The young man answered before taking his sunglasses off and looking at the car.
"You did a great job..my girlfriend will be very happy." He nodded.
"Oh, your her boyfriend? So that means I can just forward this bill to you?" He asked and the young man nodded.
"Oh yeah, oh yeah." He nodded more.
"Alrighty then. Here you are." He gave him the bill and he looked over it.
"Is there anything else I can do for you or your girlfriend request?" The mechanic asked and the young man took a minute to think.
"Can I pay for it?" He asked.
"Yep." He nodded.
"Do you guys take checks?" He asked and the mechanic nodded.
"Give me just a second to get my check book." He moved passed the mechanic and thanked god that her car was unlocked. He looked though his glove department and her inner console and immediately found it. He grabbed a pen and wrote a check in her name and gave it to the mechanic.
"This will work. Thank you." The mechanic shook his hand and said goodbye before leaving.
The young man chuckled at the check that he wrote knowing it was a bad check. He went upstairs and leaned against the railing and pulled out a cigarette.
Janet
I don't know where this instant mood swing came from but it's really been spoiling my whole day.
I really hope my car was done. I needed to figure out how I was gonna get home. I decided to page Lesane once again. I felt like I was annoying him in a way.
Aliegha fell asleep on the couch in the corner. That's how I knew I needed to get her home.
I decided to get up and take a minute out of my office. It was getting depressing in there.
"Well look who decided to come out! You know, I haven't seen you ever come out of your office unless your about to leave?" Monica looked at me. I shook my head and sat in the chair beside her.
"It's so boring here." I sighed and played with my fingers.
"Girl, it's only fun when you do something. All you do is screen calls for your father. You still doing your studies?" She asked me.
"Yep." I nodded but knowing I was lying and haven't opened that law textbook since last month.
"I can see right through you, J. You just like how you were in Highschool. You always procrastinate and your hardheaded." She shook her head.
"Your talking to me like your any better, Monica. You do the same thing that I do except you didn't finish your studies." I scoffed.
"That's because I got caught up just like you. Carrying a baby when I shouldn't have. We were a bunch of wild child's." She remarked.
