"Boy I'm sick of you taking my flowers!" Afeni yelled at her son. Lesane laughed, "Chill ma! I'mma get you some new ones." Lesane took the flowers and sat them down.
"That girl got a greenhouse because of you. What you done did now?" Afeni hit him with the dish cloth, "Stupid shit. I don't even wanna get into it." He shook his head. Afeni looked at him, "You better have not put your hands on her."
Lesane stayed quiet. Thinking about what he did made his stomach hurt. He couldn't believe he put his hands on Janet.
"I ain't mean to. I let my anger get the best of me." He rubbed his head and sighed, "Your daddy used to say the same thing to me. I was stupid staying with his sorry ass."
"So she stupid for staying with me?" He asked, "I ain't say that. Maybe she just see hope in you." She said and Lesane nodded. He knew he could come to his mother for anything. With that being said, he stood up so he could leave.
"And I wanna meet her. You met her mama right?" She asked, "Yeah Ma, I got you." He said before kissing her goodbye and leaving. He drove to the Lawfirm and got out. When he was walking in, he was stopped, "She ain't here." Monica said while looking down at her papers.
"Where she at?" He asked, "Stanford. She had a test today." She told him and he sighed. "Aight." He nodded and walked out to his car. When he got in, he backed out and left and started to think.
He knew he was wrong for what he did. Any man should know they're wrong when they put they're hands on women. He was still fighting himself about it...he only hopes that this surprise for Janet would make her happy and forgive him.
When he pulled up to Stanford, he waited in the parking lot and played his music. Hopefully she'll forgive him...
