When Janet got to the firm, she headed straight to her meeting so she wouldn't be late. Thanking god the people hadn't arrived, she sat her stuff down and sat down with a relieved sigh. Her back started to hurt out of no where making her just wanna stay home and sleep but she knew how important this was to Joseph.

He walked inside and sat his stuff down, "Glad you could make it." He said as he sat down also.

"I was hesitant but." Janet shrugged. Joseph chuckled and rubbed his hands together, "I need charm so they can be ready to have the papers out. Which is where you come in. Remember, use your words and flash a smile that your mother gave." Joseph said before standing up.

Just when he did, the men piled in. The looked important in their matching black suits and sleek haircuts. Janet mentally sighed at the sight of them. She knew how this was gonna go..

They talked and Janet had it in the bag..at least she thought she did but Joseph kept giving her glares as if she didn't.

After a while, Janet shifted uncomfortably. She felt almost sick. She couldn't be still as she was afraid something was wrong. Her father was speaking and she didn't wanna just leave but the feeling she was experiencing was making her just move around to try to find some type of closure for herself.

"And my youngest daughter, Janet Jackson. I've always dreamed to have her as my business partner. Which is soon to happen. Right Janet?" Joseph looked at her. She looked at him then at the men who stared at her with a serious face. She just nodded and continued to shift around.

"How would you have a business partner who is one, your daughter. Two, doesn't talk and three, can't even be still." A man chuckled. Janet cleared her throat, "My apologies. I was trying to find the right words...Soon Joseph." She nodded and gave a weak smile. Joseph nodded and gave a forced smile.

"That concludes this meeting Mr.Jackson. We'll get back with you when we have a plan." He stood up and and so did the others. Janet was happy they were leaving. They were too intimidating for her.

She stood up and her legs felt weak almost but she fought through it so she could shake their hands.

After they were done, they left. Janet was about to rush out but her father stopped her making her anxiety rise higher.

"What the hell was that? You've never acted that way Janet. This is unacceptable." He scolded his youngest. Janet was just looking around for what she needed, a trash can.

"You couldn't even sit still. You know how important this is to me. I will gladly give it to Steven." He threatened. Janet stopped paying attention as she ran past him and picked the trash can up to empty her agitated gut.

Joseph took a deep sigh as she cough and wiped her mouth with a nearby napkin.

Janet stood up and couldn't even turn around to face her fathers face. She knew what the face was.

"Damita. You face me and you face me right now." He said sternly again. Janet took a deep breath before walking past him and sitting down as she felt weaker and tired. She could fall asleep right there if she wanted.

"What has gotten into you?! First you couldn't sit still, you weren't talking or giving proper input like I've taught you and, you vomited in my good trash can." Joseph's voice slightly cracked as he spoke. Janet was barely listening as a migraine crept up on her.

"These actions are unlike you. If you weren't such a drunk, you wouldn't be acting like this."

"A drunk? What in god name put the idea of me being a drunk in your head?" Janet finally spoke and looked at her father, "I know you went out with that boy last night Janet. He probably gave you all kinds of drugs." He protested. Janet scoffed.

"No he didn't. He took me out to dinner and I stayed over at his house because it was late." She spoke. Joseph glared at her. Janet knew this glare too well.

"I know what your thinking. I'm not."

"You said that with Aliegha." He protested once again making Janet groan.

"I'm done with this." She stood up and began to walk away.

"You do not walk away from me young lady." Joseph followed her all the way down to her office. When he got there, he slammed her door making her spin around to only be face to face with him.

"Over my dead body will I have a grandchild by that hoodlum." He said through gritted teeth. Janet knew how angry he'd get but she she didn't know he'd get this angry. He was practically turning red and shaking.

"I just said —"

"To hell to what you just said. I'll believe it when I see it." He dug into his pocket and pulled out his wallet, "You take this and go buy the most expensive test up there. I want good results. That'll determine if you'll still have a job here." He said.

"You cannot be serious." Janet spoke as he held a $100 dollar bill out. She looked at him then the money before slowly taking it.

"Test don't even cost this much."

"I said grab the most expensive one. I want accurate results. I will be telling Katherine." He said before walking out. Janet sighed before throwing the bill onto her desk and sitting in her chair.

What was she gonna do if the test was positive?
