HALLWAY/CHOIR ROOM
Kelly is walking down the halls, after school that day, with a stack of sheet music copies in her hand when she runs into her father who was headed in the same direction.
Kelly: "Hey, I was just coming to find you. Here's your copies you needed." she says as she hands the papers over, "Also could I stay in choir room until you're done. I don't really feel like walking back to the yearbook office right now and Todd's been in there weeping for the past hour so..."
Will: "Why?"
Kelly: "Something he really liked got discontinued or something. I mean, I couldn't really understand him through his excessive amount of tears."
Will: "Sure, I have no problem with it. It may even make it an easier transition when I finally convince you to join."
Kelly: "Haha, nice try old man."
Will: "Ouch," he says as he playfully places his hand over his heart while they enter the choir room. "All right, guys. How about a little Kanye?"
Mercedes: "For the assembly?" she asks as Will hands the New Directions sheet music and Kelly hands Brad and the band their copies.
Will: "No. We won't be ready in time. We're still doing disco. But we can fold this into our repertoire and it'll be awesome at regionals. Communication is the foundation of any successful music group. If we're gonna succeed, we need to communicate. You guys said you wanted modern music, I listened."
Artie: "Mr. Schue, we'd really like to not do disco at the assembly."
Will: "Finn, you're gonna take the solo." he instructs, ignoring Artie's request.
Finn: "What? No, I- I can't do the solo, Mr. Schue. I'm still learning how to walk and sing at the same time."
Will: "No problem. I'll walk you through it."
Glee Club: "Ooh!"
Mercedes: "Challenge."
Kelly: "I should've know you were going rap. The walk to the yearbook office doesn't sound so bad anymore." she remarks while going to head out only to be stopped by Will.
Will: "No see you called me 'old', and for your punishment you're going watch your 'old' man rap." he jokes as he directs Kelly towards a stool and then turns to Mercedes, "Hey, Mercedes. You know this?"
Mercedes: "Oh, I got this."
