During free period, Kelly found herself in a spare office in the school and sitting across from Dr. Dennis Jackson, the therapist Will managed to convince Figgins to bring in.

About 35 minutes of the two sitting in silence, after the adult had asked, at the beginning of their session, about how she was doing, he finally decided to speak up again.
Dennis: "Wow. When they told me, you have a tendency of just staring in front of you rather than talking for almost," he said with a slight chuckle while glancing at the watch on his wrist, "an entire session, I thought they were kidding." another pause fell amongst the two, "Really? Nothing."
Kelly: "What would you like me to say?"
Dennis: "Well, would you look at that. She can speak." he remarked as Kelly rolled her eyes, "How about you start with answering how you're feeling?"
Kelly: "Fine."
Dennis: "I guess one word answers are better than no word answers." he joked again but was met with an unimpressed look, "Still nothing. Most people would have found that funny."
Kelly: "I'm not like most people."
Dennis: "Now see, that may have been the most honest thing you have said so far." he told her with a smile.
Kelly: "You're still not funny."
Dennis: "Oh, I wasn't trying to be there." he said back to her with a serious expression on his face, "Kelly, I'm here because you are the one who told your dad you needed help. He then was the one who went to your principal and explained that you needed someone to talk to that he wasn't romantically involved with, even if it was for a short amount of time. Everyone has been supplying you with the tools to try and get the help you want but you're the one who is deciding not to try."
