__________________________________________Tony paced backwards and forwards, Steve standing behind him, head in hands. They looked up as Thor entered, any hope immediately extinguished at his crestfallen face.
"How the hall do you lose two assassins, one with a METAL ARM, And one with PURPLE EYES! How do you even do that!?" Tony was muttering, frenzied.
It had been a over a day since they'd realized Bucky and Robyn weren't in the tower, and figuring out that the mission had been a trap, Thor had gone to scout out any near possible locations in the city.
"Lady Robyn and James Barnes could be anywhere by now."
Steve and Tony were suddenly united in their anger.
"WE CAN'T GIVE UP—"
"—THEY COULD BE IN SERIOUS DANGER—"
"—WE HAVE TO TRY—""We know," Natasha's clear voice cut across the both of them, "we're worried as well. But shouting won't solve anything. Have either of you contacted S.H.I.E.L.D?"
The sheepish glances that met her confirmed that the latter had not been done.
"If we tell S.H.I.E.L.D we lost them, they won't care about their safety, just getting them back. We might lose them in a different way." Clint interjected.
Steve sighed and returned to his head in hands position.
"Steve."
"What Tony?! I'm not in the mood."
"No! No Steve look!!"
Steve looked up to see Tony hunched, exited over his computer, a flashing red light glowing on the screen.
"THE GENIUS TURNED ON HER TRACKER, YES!"
"Where?!!"
"The warehouse, over by the abandoned coffee factory!!"
Steve and Tony locked eyes.
"Team. Suit up."
___________________Robyn had been sitting alone for several hours now. Every time her eyes started to flutter shut, she saw the spray of blood, and jerked back awake. No one had returned since Brody had left, and that was probably the only good thing that had happened so far. No food had come, and she had started to feel faint from lack of water. Nothing new though.
A few hours ago she'd sensed someone outside, listening, and she'd started to sing. No one called out to tell her to shut up, so she'd assumed she was wrong. She'd been humming tunes since then, trying to distract herself from the memories written into the walls of the cell.
Then the door opened, she turned away, hearing the cocking of a gun and— "BRYN! Oh thank god."
Clint strode forwards, fuddling with the handcuffs as he quizzed her, "What?-Who?—where's Bucky? Are you-"
He met her eyes and saw the expression written in them. "Hey."
"Szia* birdie."
"Did they hurt you?"
"Not... not exactly. But they got Buck..."
"What!"
"The winter soldier. They got him back."
"Shit. We have to—"
"No. We aren't leaving without him. Where's the rest of the te—"
Natasha rounded the corner, rushing over to Robyn.
