Ok so I held up a bit longer this time. I've nearly finished the Ultron part so that's a good thing. I'm so wiped though, because the minute I'm home I'm writing this fic, and although I haven't posted that much yet, I've got at least 20 episodes lined up after this. Just take this episode please and thank. Also I don't care about votes, I'm writing for fun, not for anything else, but I really really like comments, and people telling me what they think of the story so far. Enjoy!

It was the Friday after the meeting with Fury and to celebrate the arrival of Thor (who had previously been off somewhere with his girlfriend) Tony was using it as an excuse to throw a huge party.
The tower had been a hub of chatter and noise, and both Bryn and Bucky had hidden in their rooms to avoid the large groups of people. Usually at times where they would be forced to socialize they would retreat to the roof together, much to the enjoyment of the team, but since the incident with J.A.R.V.I.S there had been a rather awkward air between the two.
Natasha however was having none of it, and, dragging them both out five hours before the party started at seven, sifted through their wardrobes before declaring it all unwearable and sending Robyn out with Pepper -as Bucky was still under house arrest, much to his delight at this point,- to get some suitable attire for the evening.
Both Pepper and Steve felt the party was a bad idea, as both Tony and Bucky had had anxiety attacks in the past few weeks, but Tony had shrugged it off as 'nothing to worry about' and Bucky had made it clear he probably wasn't that keen on coming anyway, so wasn't likely to be triggered, and the plans progressed.
Having not spent that much time alone together, Pepper and Bryn were busy looking at dress after dress, harboring a busy silence when Pepper finally spoke up.
"Look, what the hell are you going to wear and where the hell are we getting it from, because if we don't have the correct outfit in two hours Nat will kill me and you! She loves the parties, though not the people as much..."
Robyn's eyes sparkled.
"Drágám*, I thought you'd never ask"
She dragged Pepper through the high streets, before they finally stopped outside a battered looking second hand shop.
"I.. don't think this is quite-"
"Oh shut up and come look! I know what I'm talking about."
They entered the shop, Robyn nodding to the women behind the counter. To Peppers surprise she seemed to know exactly where she was going, and soon enough they had wound up inside a labyrinth of suits, shirts and ties.
"You're going to wear a suit?" Pepper questioned.
To busy sifting through waistcoats to turn around Bryn replied, "Have you ever seen me in a skirt?!"
By the time they'd left, Robyn holding a carrier bag filled with item of loose clothing, and Pepper clutching a full dark suit with a blue tie for Bucky (as Robyn said, it would bring out his eyes) both women were pleased and when they'd gotten back to the tower, even Natasha seemed impressed by their choices.
However there wasn't time to show off their finds as the winds started to pick up, and the team, plus Bryn and Bucky, hurried to the roof to meet Thor.
Clint seemed mad for some reason, but his hurried muttering made little sense to Robyn as she walked behind him.
"Stupid Thor.... I had the eyeliner en pointe!.... alright 'Tasha have messy eyes then.... wasting my time....."
They gathered together in the centre of the roof, hundreds of metres above the street, pushing each other for space.
The clouds above darkened then:
-a huge muscular figure slammed into the roof
-a hammer flew into his hand, crackling with electricity
-the team surged forwards to greet the god
-and Bucky, noticed by no one, stumbled backwards and ran back into the tower.
Almost no one.
Tony turned around, preparing to introduce Thor to Robyn. She wasn't there.
Bryn walked slowly through the corridors. Both the kitchen and living quarters were silent. She paused outside Buckys bedroom, hearing heavy breathing from with in.
"Buck?"
The room fell silent. Robyn paused, before gently pushing open the door. His bed lay empty, not looking like it has been slept in for weeks. The curtains were shut, though she could still make out the shape of a man, crouched in the corner.
He backed away as she approached, but Robyn, seeing this, touched down onto the floor to sit opposite.
"The other day... with Jarvis. I'm sorry about that. I... I shouldn't have walked off. You were trying to help. I don't know why.... guess you were just trying to be nice."
Suddenly Bucky looked up. He was still shaking, but this time with outrage rather than panic.
"WHAT! You think I asked because I was being nice!! I asked because.... because that's what..... friends do,...right?"
"You want to be friends with an assassin?" Robyn replied, incredulous.
Bucky looked up at her, his eyes still wide with fear, but for the first time in a long time, laughing.
"Who do you think you're talking to, the Easter bunny?"
Bryn smiled, and shuffled over next to him. They sat in silence for a bit, before Bucky spoke up, his voice barely more than a whisper.
"I still see them. All of them. Every time I close my eyes they're there. And I killed them." His voice broke on the last word.
"Physically, Yes." Robyn muttered beside him, "mentally? No. When I was 15 I was captured by Hydra you know? They... they tried to do what they did to you on me. Or something of the sort. Nothing worked. At least nothing useful to them, though looking 21 at 29 isn't exactly a bad thing In my books. But every time I heard about the Winter Soldier it was about his missions. His victories."
Feeling Bucky flinch beside her she rushed on.
"Then one day I overheard a conversation outside my cell. They were talking about you. Not the Winter Soldier, but you. How you resisted The code words whenever you could, and how on one mission, you refused to kill."
"I don't remember that..."
"You wouldn't. The reason S.H.I.E.L.D keeps me alive is because I know more about Hydra than they ever could. You were wiped soon after that mission, and I was put in Cyro. Sorry. I mean I don't know if that even helped. Just thought, you know...that even if you can't remember it, you fought him every step of the way. And umm... again. It might not help but... you aren't the only one who can't escape their past Cica*." She stood up to go.
"I can tell them you aren't coming to the party if you want."
"No, no I will come, just give me a minute, I need to shower."
"Alright." Robyn smiled gently, and turned to go.
"Bryn?" Bucky mumbled, "I need to know... who was it that I-he refused to kill?"
Robyn smiled her rare smile once again.
Really, Bucky thought, it does look like the sun when she does that
"Oh, no one important. Though Hydra definitely wanted her dead. I don't know why they didn't do it themselves."
"But... What was her name?"
"They called her the Grim Reaper."
And Robyn walked out of the room, switching on the lights as she did so.
"Pepper has your suit by the way!" She called out as she left.
