"Amai, you'll be fine. It's just us, Rumi and Yu. We're gonna have so much fun, don't let that dick hold you back,"

Trying to convince my sister that it's okay to go out shopping after everything she's been through is like getting blood out of a stone. It's just near impossible to even get her out of bed in the mornings, let alone ask her to come out of the house for a short while. For the past few minutes; I've been trying to convince my sister that going shopping isn't going to affect her for a while. It won't kill her. It's perfectly safe and she's surrounded by two pro heroes, who of which are in the top twenty of the Japan Hero Rankings. How safe can you get at this point? Keigo has my phone tracked (for emergencies only) too plus heroes are always patrolling.

However, Amai doesn't believe she'll be safe. I believe that she's worried about running into Arata or any of his friends. She's worried she'll be targeted since her ex boyfriend is in prison and that she'll be kidnapped next. She's petrified of leaving Keigo and I's home. It's a chore and a half to get her to stay home on her own, let alone ask her to come out for a bit. I've never seen her so apprehensive. She's my big sister...

Arata has seriously affected her trust. She doesn't even trust me and I'm her little sister who shares anything and everything with her. I have never, in my life, seen her so so shaken up about something. It's almost disturbing to be the one that's trying to reassure. Usually, Amai's trying to calm me down, not the other way around. She doesn't want to be on her own. She doesn't want Keigo or I to leave without telling her what we're doing or where we're going. It's like she's morphing into our mother and that's not a good thing.

Mom is a very worrisome person.

Sighing gently to myself, I lean against the doorway of the spare room at home. My sister fiddling with the fabric of the bedsheet while I wait for her to climb out of the bed and actually come out for once. She needs to have some fresh air and stop feeling sorry for herself. She needs to get out there again. To socialise. To be herself again. She's had her time to wallow and eat ice cream and cry into her pillows. Nows her time to get out there and pull another handsome guy or girl into her arms and see where it goes.

After mentally trying to convince her through eye contact to come out and shop, she reluctantly agrees. Her eyes rolling while I can't help the smile that spreads across my cheeks. This chases an excited cheer from me as I watch her slide out of bed and grab a pair of jeans and a blouse from her closet. Finally knowing that she's getting ready, I race downstairs and clap my hands. A laugh leaving my lips as Rumi and Yu arch a brow at my excited behaviour.

They don't understand how big of a deal this is.

Amai is finally venturing out again! She's finally becoming her own person again. It'll take a while, I know that. My sister is a tough cookie though, I know she'll pull through and come back as strong as she could possibly be. I know that she'll have an even bigger flame burning in her eyes as she comes back to her normal strong self. She's refusing to let that bastard force her to coop up. She's finally doing it! After weeks of trying to convince her, she's finally doing it!

Almost seconds later, Amai appears at the stairs heading down into the landing. Both Rumi and Yu stare at her with wide eyes. They couldn't believe she's coming. They even had to double check that it was Amai standing in front of them. Almost dazzled at the fact that she's out of her bed before eleven o'clock with clothes on and shoes on her feet. She's ready to go. She's chomping at the bit to come join us on our shopping spree for the month. It's perfect. It's amazing. I couldn't be any more happier than this right now.

Quickly, I hand my sister a breakfast bar to make sure she's eaten before opening the front door to allow everyone to leave. My eyes sparkle with utter happiness as my sister slides out of the house slowly, her fingers gripping onto Rumi's sleeve like a toddler as she looks around. Shutting the door behind us, I lock it up before following Yu to Rumi's car because there's no way we're all carrying a ton of bags all the way back to our homes.
