No excuses just a trash chapter
But this is the lead up to something exciting
When Killua had woken up the next day, the sun had completely lit his room, a good sign that it was already late morning. And he didn't consider himself a heavy sleeper, so it was a bit odd that no one had come and attempted to wake him. He knew that being considered these people's queen, he probably wouldn't have any real duties anytime soon, "not that I wanted any", yawning as he sat upon the plush mattress.
He shivered a bit, after uncovering himself, sleeping with the window open invited the cool air in to take a temporary home. Shifting weight, he stood on the floor feet covered with fluffy material sparing his skin from the likely coldness of the stone. He quickly shut the window and returned to bed, nothing was driving him to interact with anyone at the moment; he didn't have much of an appetite, he didn't require anything so laying down was the best choice for him at the moment. He had slept and woke up twice and everything was still the same so that ruled out the possibility of all this being a dream.
Killua didn't know how long he had been laying in bed just staring at the ceiling before he heard the pattern of footsteps just on the other side of the wall. He could've sworn that someone even had come to his door but there was no knock just a couple of steps that became louder than suddenly distant once more.
It was easy as he originally thought to just ignore the strange steps, curiosity got the better of the feline causing him to leap from the bed and swing open the door.
Sapphire eyes peeked from the doorway seeing hallways empty as though no one bothered to come to this side of the castle. Figuring it was just the imagination, he was just about to close the door when a sound was heard with the gust of wind from the door closing. Catching the door right before it closed completely, a slip of paper was seen attached to the door with writing on it. Plucking it, the blue beads went back and forth reading the words on the page.
It was a message, informing him that Mito and the king had made a trip into town and would be back shortly. Everything was usual, if he needed anything let the maids know and what have you. Even the words in the letter gave off her gentle tone, and her concern even though she wasn't in the immediate faculty.
Aware that no one was in the structure that he was acquainted with in the slightest that could possibly bring up his mood, it was back to bed for him. Disregarding that he was still wearing his nightgown and it was likely noon, the white-haired teen tiptoed back to the bed.
He had gotten as comfortable as anyone could in a place they still weren't quite familiar with. Thoughts of his family filled his mind, wondering what they could be up to, his departure was probably still fresh on their minds but after some time they would fall into a routine barely noticing his absence. A tear escaped the corner of his eye damping the pillow that the white locs rested on. It all would come to be easier for him as well though there was no timeframe for such a thing.
Getting up associating himself with the fortress and its patrons might be a good way to start, but Killua didn't have the energy for that nor did he really want to. He knew the four main people of importance and that was enough to digest for the time being.
XOXO
"You don't seem as excited", the king and his personal advisor had recently left from the town, and just as they had predicted not even a full twenty-four hours and the townspeople were already raving about the wedding ceremony. Majority of them elated that their ruler had found happiness while a few were upset for various reasons, though that was expected. He was a bit surprised to notice that his aunt sat in that small few. Mito was never the confrontational type so she wouldn't tell her opinion unless asked, though her subtle remark the day before didn't go unnoticed. "I thought you've been happy for me", which struck a chord, the grey eyes slowly shifted their attention to the man sitting across from them then narrowed.
