Not I'm two days late XD (busy week last week)
The game is only fair if all the players know the rules
"Welcome", up until this point the present king was completely unaware of who he was supposed to be housing for the next couple of days. Between his frustration with his father and desperately trying to spend time with his spouse, he failed to conduct any research, not to mention the guests was about two days early. Nonetheless, he had to overlook all of those things and put on a convincing smile.
He didn't know exactly what his father wanted to discuss with these people probably something along the lines of territory expansion, forming an alliance for military and civil support, trading of resources,s or maybe just a revision of a former treaty set to expire soon; either way, Gon would be more than willing to allow the past king take the lead, Ging enjoyed meddling in those sorts of affairs. Anything to make him feel superior and get a heads up on someone.
"Thank you for having me", he heard the voice before witnessing the face of the speaker. It was deep and smooth, like velvet, but Gon wasn't really impressed, to say the least, he wanted the introduction process to get a move on. As though the other man could hear his thoughts he finally revealed himself to the ruler of the Whale Kingdom. The first thing the golden eyes noticed about the visiting king was his black, slicked hair and dark untrustworthy eyes. He looked a bit odd but that's not what bothered the young alpha. "I apologize to keep you waiting", he bowed hoping for forgiveness, "I'm Chrollo Lucifer, from the Meteor Kingdom".
The name of the man and kingdom bounced around the skull of the tanned teen while he tried to recall where he had heard those particular names from. Just another moment of silence and he would've been able to put a hand on it but unfortunately, he lost his train of thought when he saw a few more people exit the sand carriage as the mysterious man. Gon expected Chrollo to have a handful of servants come along, Kings very rarely traveled alone. He didn't want to come off as rude but he was grateful when the other ruler didn't go through with the introductions of his subordinates, though it was only three of them.
Prompting his workers to take the guests' bags, Gon waved for the king to follow him while he gave a quick tour. Hopefully, his father and the man wouldn't want to get straight to business after the long trip he had to endure along with the stormy weather. The remainder of the afternoon the visitors should spend relaxing and he'll be off enjoying the company of his omega, he couldn't help but let a look of glee come across his face from the very thought.
He wasn't at all surprised to see his father and aunt were still in the study room, she was likely giving him a piece of her mind behind closed doors. She didn't want anyone to know how strained their relationship truly was, it was pretty evident that something was off between the two of them. Gon didn't realize until a couple of years into his reign that they tittered on the line of simple dislike and pure hate. He even offered to try the mend the siblings but Mito always shrugged it off as nothing wrong, keeping up the fake facade though he had learned the truth forever ago.
Walking through the hallways within the stone structure, the honey eyes took an extra moment to scope the area, to notice a yellow flash or a sugar sprinkle, assuming that Killua had found Kurapika and unsure where they had probably run off to. The tour was short-lived, as he only showed them the places they would need during their stay, such as kitchen, library, doctor, areas of that nature, and where they would be residing. He made extra sure to avoid showing them the permanent residents of the castle rooms, mainly his beloved.
Thinking he had concluded this part of his responsibilities as king, and leaving them to their own devices for a while so he could keep his promise to his bride. But apparently, today just wasn't his day, before he could dismiss everyone he saw Ging out of the corner of his eye, cursing under his breath knowing that he would be pulled into yet another obstacle course, he'd have to find his way out of.
