End of semester blues 😭😭
Sorry for my little absence (not amazing chap) I had a minor neck injury that prevented me from writing (hell I couldn't even look down at my phone or drive (both of which I love to do))

"Okay", everyone in the meeting room was seated and prepared for the topics ahead, "let's begin", it was a usual meeting, therefore the leader of the council led it, that person being Biscuit Kruger. The middle-aged woman opened her mouth demanding everyone's attention, it seemed as though the queen had unintentionally taken it. It had been over two weeks since any of them had seen the omega, all eyes were glued to Killua who sat in his husband's lap. The younger teen had seen them at least once but he still wasn't acquainted with them enough to be completely comfortable. The council members' attention hadn't been easy to retrieve, the blond tried coughing and snapping her fingers to gain it back, she blamed his beauty as well as he and Gon being freshly mated.

"I think we should proceed with the meeting" Mito could always get them on the right track. She assured them if Gon and Killua were feeling up to it they'd socialize later, the eyes left the first advisor to their ruler who nodded. It is very unlikely that such a thing would happen but anything to keep the councilmen's attention on everything at hand.

"First thing", Biscuit cleared her throat, "I'd like to thank Ging for joining us", she came up with some elaborate story that he had just come into town that morning and suggested he come to a meeting to see old faces. Ging didn't even attempt to hide the look of disgust along with eye roll, that was the biggest load of bull if he's ever heard any. He could care less for most of the people in this room and he was practically blackmailed into attending; the blond tried to threaten him with everything in her power, he wouldn't budge but as soon as Mito threw her hat in the ring, he relentlessly agreed. Amber eyes were met with the ones of his younger sister and he tried his best to cover up the displeasing expressions on his face.

"Welcome your lordship", they all said in unison despite how some of them felt about the man. They asked about multiple things: how was his trip, how long was he planning on staying, his reason for the sudden visit, and the list goes on. Mito was pleased to see how annoyed her brother was getting, especially when some bold chairman asked him why he had been gone so long and what he was doing while away.

Ging didn't miss the bombardment of questions and concerns, not like he missed anything about the kingdom along with being king; he much preferred his current position, being a former king he still had most of his power only outranked by his son but he could easily get past that with instilling fear. Speaking of his son, Gon was fairly neutral in all this commotion, the staring eyes were no longer him and his mate so he would take it. "Okay", the former leader apparently having made it to his boiling point, "enough about me", he wanted to get this blasted conference over with so he could resume his current objective.

Taking the hint, the meeting proceeded on. There was nothing out of the ordinary to be mentioned, for the most part, there were no threats and none of the kingdom's allies were in any hot water. No one had committed any particularly heinous crimes whereas the king or someone in his place had to intervene, for which Gon was grateful because he didn't want Killua hearing any details of violence or wicked actions. It's not like he had to deal with any of that nonsense during his reign, though when he was still getting settled in he almost faced a war, but working out an agreement with his council's help he was able to avoid that; therefore strengthening the bond he had with them, unlike his father who seemingly despised everyone on there even though he hand-picked most of them.

"The numbers?", what leader wouldn't like to know how the shape and state their land was in.

"Alrighty", Wing adjusted his glasses before reading off a paper before him, Wing was Bisky's pupil several years before she had been asked to help out Gon. Wing wasn't from a royal family by any means but his family wasn't poor either, the older woman randomly stumbled upon him one day and the rest is history; many credit his connections with her to why he holds a seat on the council today. "It looks like trade is doing very well", being on an 'island' has its advantages, -other than it was completely surrounded by water majority of the day except for low tide where a narrow land bridge is created- his kingdom could grow and cultivate plenty of produce that inland kingdoms could not. "Outside funds are starting to slow but nothing of the ordinary". Also, their location was convenient for sailors and fishermen as they'd usually stop there for: supplies, food, lodging you name it but that was slowing down like it usually did in the winter months.
