"Ahh Mito," a particular someone wanted to pay her to visit, and she would usually leave the discussions to her nephew and brother, but this time around, she was feeling generous with her time. Instructed to have a seat, her visitor was more than happy to do so with no question. "My, aren't I grateful that you accepted my request" the beta put aside her work for the moment; most of it was confidential, and as far as the rest goes, she simply didn't want an outsider getting a peek.
"I must say I'm surprised you wished to speak to me, Silva" the two of them had only seen one another a total of four times but spoke to each other personally once. "I would think Gon or Ging are more your speed," she said.
"Usually, but I wanted to speak to you today," the first advisor nodded for him to precede, "your nephew's little act last night was entertaining," tapping his fingers on the hard polished wood.
"I apologize if your feelings were hurt," she wasn't, but it was something to lead into the following statement, "but I won't apologize for him doing what he had to do to protect his mate," crossing her legs.
"Protect? I'm his father", the tangerine-haired beta answered, "and mate? You just allowed two children to play grown-up; that's a dangerous thing you simply leave up to the decision of mere kids", Mito had the same doubts, and part of her still does, but she assured him that they were mature enough. "You must've taught them that little routine."
"Gon's an alpha. It's in his nature to lead his omega, and it's in Killua's nature to follow his alpha's order being an omega" she caught the reaction Silva gave when she said Killua was an omega; the subject was still sour apparently. "I can't teach either of them a thing, especially regarding each other." That was something they'll figure out throughout the relationship.
"You speak so well. I wonder why we haven't spoken since your parents' funeral", over two decades ago, and aside from that, they simply crossed paths and nothing more. "Speaking of which," an eyebrow raised. What could this man want to talk about dealing with her parents? They were long dead. "How did you deal with the loss?"
This question got the first advisor's mind working; it was so long ago that she had to tap into some stored memory. Once she finally answered, "with loss came gain," she and her brother had gained a kingdom to look over, and she couldn't spend all day moping about. And once Ging officially took over, leaving her with only a portion of the power she once had, he unintentionally gifted her a nephew to care for. "Losing something just means you have something around the corner to be given to you," in most cases. "But I was led to believe that your father is still with the living," she was more than prepared to send her condolences, but she was relieved to hear Zeno was still alive.
"The old man's still kicking," letting out a chuckle seeing how pale the ginger woman became from thinking someone in the Zoldyck family was deceased. "Everyone is doing well" letting out a sigh of relief, Mito was sure to send her kind-spirited greeting to them. "According to you, a loss can be more than simply loss of life," she agreed, unsure of what direction he was about to take in this conversation. "Once it's no longer yours, it's lost" she nods, trying to get a couple of steps ahead of him so that she could have an answer to any possible question. "I've lost plenty but gained only a little."
"That's unfortunate, but most immediate returns aren't worth the loss," referring back to when she and Ging shared the title briefly. Still, he ultimately was granted it via their parents' final testament. She had finally pieced together why he was visiting her. Did he believe he could pull on her heartstrings? She had given those things away years ago; they got in the way of her judgment. "Maybe you aren't patient enough," she shrugged, "good things come to those who wait," she insisted.
"Is that so?" he had gotten a whiff that maybe Mito wasn't as dumb as he initially thought, he knew she wasn't stupid by any means, but he didn't know she caught on so quickly. "How long should one wait?" the woman across from him shrugged.
