"Why is it so cold in here?" it was a reasonably cool day from the rain, and the change of the season was upon them, but that was no reason for the bedroom to be as chilly as it was. He would've chopped it up to his spouse, presumably rolling to the other side of the bed, freeing up his usually occupied arms, but the winds' hollows were louder than if they were behind a barrier. Maybe Killua opened it up to get some fresh air and forgot to close it back. Rolling over, he saw his omega was no longer in bed. He didn't panic; his beloved was still near him, and he could smell him as well as smell; he wasn't a hundred percent, but his body wouldn't find rest again until his significant other was back in bed next to him at least, in his arms preferably. Sitting up to search the room, jasper eyes landed on the teen sitting on the windowsill, the breeze brushing against the thin fabric he was dressed in. Only a few beams of moonlight seeped through the thick clouds, a ray landing perfectly on the stunning face of the visibly upset teen, marshmallowy cheeks stained with tears.

Creeping out of bed, the alpha snuck upon his spouse, wrapping his arms around the thin waist and planting a kiss on the temples of the queen. "I don't know if you're more beautiful under the sunlight or the moonlight" he disregarded the tears; Killua would talk if he wanted to. "Probably the latter" any and everyone could see how beautiful his spouse was in the daytime under the yellow and orange rays of the sun. Still, only he would get the privilege of witnessing the magnificence under the white and blue ones.

That statement put a smile on the straight face of omega, the first real one of the whole evening or morning, depending on what time it was. "This the part where you tell me to come back to bed" that's precisely what Gon was thinking about doing but seeing that his spouse was expecting it, he did the opposite.

"No," blue widened, hearing that, "but if you're going to be here all night, you need to put on a robe," that, unfortunately, was non-negotiable.

"I won't be up much longer, so I'll use your body heat" milky cheeks began flooding with red ink. There was a peaceful pause before Killua spoke again, "could you believe that I was once the favorite?" he asked, resting his head against his husband's chest. To answer the question, yes, Gon could believe it. Why else would Killua try so hard to impress the man and be in his presence even though the omega felt so much pain whenever he was near him?

"Can you believe I wasn't?" trying to lighten up the mood; he didn't want his spouse to come to bed in a heavy spirit, besides he had already been crying. He just wanted his omega to return to how he was before today. "Men like our fathers," mostly Silva, "only have children for the sole purpose of having someone forever loyal and willing to serve them." He had heard rumors about his extended family due to marriage, most of which he preferred to keep to himself as they weren't confirmed to be accurate. Still, he knew that Killua's inability to be his heir messed up his plan for a perfect lineage, where each child put in a particular amount of work, and the output was calculated to be precisely what was needed to take the kingdom to the next level. "Would you really want to be the favorite of someone like that?" He knew his spouse didn't want to be neglected and practically tortured by his older sibling, but the pressure of being the favorite was probably not a dream. Figuring Gon was right and knew what he was going on about, the omega nodded in agreement before announcing he'd come on to bed.

"Then let's go to bed" he lifted the more petite teen from the sill, carrying him over the bed. He tucked his mate in and doubled back to close and lock the window, laying in bed after completing all that, "do you want to be held?" he usually didn't ask, but tonight he felt like he should. Receiving a nod, he pulled Killua onto his chest, he didn't notice it before, but the albino was freezing cold. It wasn't long before the omega drifted off, and his alpha companion was behind him.

"Wake up!" the voice was loud and very unpleasant to the sleeping patron; amber eyes opened to almost identical ones looking down on him. "Look who decided to wake up," the younger alpha rolled his; hell, he'd still be asleep if he wasn't so rudely awakened. He considered asking why his father was in his chambers so early, but he didn't give a damn, so he told the man to get out. "You know I envy only one thing about Silva" Gon didn't know what his father was doing; he just wondered if the man was deaf. "His children seem to respect him" rolling his eyes, the teen hated how annoyed he was becoming, "we should try that." The fake sincere tone of voice and facial expression wasn't fooling anyone; Gon let out a sigh of frustration.
