Bruh, I can't take a break from writing because one week tend into a two months
It's so hard to jump back into it because of anxiety and what not but hey it is what's it is
I was told not to say my chapters suck anymore so I'll simply say this is not one of my best
The light flipping of paper and soft chatter of conversation could be heard in the corner of the room, it was only two voices, one was obviously more rambunctious than the other but the words were too low to be made out. Still between the world of the wake and the slumbering ahead turned towards the talking. There wasn't much of a pause as the two were seemingly deep into whatever they were discussing. The more words were being exchanged the more the sleeping beauty was pulled into the space of the conscious. Closed eyes began to flinch, eventually cracked open, the figures were blurry and difficult to make out and the sun gave the room an orange-goldish glow which didn't help much either. The laying patron opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out, had he lost his voice, was he still between the different lands. Trying again, his voice cracked but no words escaped apparently he had lost it. The dialogue between the two individuals halted, before looking around for the source of the sound, not finding it -though they didn't seem to put much effort into it-, they continued exchanging what could only be the papers that woke him to begin with. From the fragrance in the air he smelled, it was the alpha who was in his presence when he dozed off and the other scent was no other than his loving husband. "Go...n..", his voice was hoarse but he did manage to get a word out, and it didn't go unnoticed. His eyes finally adjusted to see two pairs of eyes looking at him thankfully they didn't seem too worried about him.
"My sleeping beauty is awake", the king rejoiced to lean forward to rub his fingers through the white curls, "Bisky told me you were taking a little late morning nap", Killua doubted that she went into details because if she had his spouse would be all over him asking a million questions. He loved his husband's level of concern, but that particular topic he'd rather not revisit, he tried to push those memories into a vault. "Are you feeling alright?", the omega nodded, trying to avoid straining his voice any further. "Good", the big speech was coming up and of course, the king wanted his beloved bride with him, so that meant formal attire was needed therefore a fitting was in order. The queen usually would've been fitted by now for such an event but since the speech was sorta last minute, everything else was as well.
That wouldn't be too much trouble but in all honesty, the omega didn't particularly feel like doing such a thing, it felt like a chore, he'd much rather spend time with his mate. Taking his time to sit up, he felt as though more than two pairs of eyes were watching him with the loud creaking noises the bed was making with every movement. Completely upright he stretched out his arms, he was taken aback when Gon didn't immediately take him into his arms but after what seemed like an eternity of awkwardness he was pulled into a swift embrace. The older teen quickly explained that he had and the blonde must finish up a few things before the speech tomorrow evening therefore Palm would come and take over for a bit. In the midst of explaining, jasper eyes couldn't help but notice the white curls sway as the possessor shook his head back and forth. "Did Palm do something wrong?", Gon was almost certain that the albino and the maid had a pretty good relationship, but why else would Ki be signaling no. Apparently, that wasn't it either because the head continued to shake, "what is it?", the answer was a simple finger pointing towards him.
Oh.
It then came to the king, there was a lengthy pause as the alpha thought of the right words to say. The beady eyes began to perk up when the dark-haired teen opened his mouth to speak, "Ki, I'm kinda busy right now"
"Oh look at the time", Bisky had been sitting in silence for the last few minutes just reading over some paperwork the king had brought her, pretending like she wasn't listening to the exchange. There was only so much she was able to pick up on but one thing she knew for certain was that a mate was never too busy to deal with their counterpart. Seeing as the two of them needed some space she told the king she met him in his study.
