Takes a deep breath
"Good Morning", a joyous voice called out bursting into the room, no knock to give any warning. The alpha king was overly excited about the evening that had been planned throughout the past few days. One of the first things he needed to do was wake his spouse making sure his day went as smoothly as possible. The positive attitude took a hit seeing as the white-haired teen still sleeping.
Approaching the bed, the soft breaths confirmed it. He didn't want to interrupt the sweet dreams that could possibly be taking place but there was no time to waste on a day like today. Kneeling down a tanned hand gently shook the small body before him, attempting to avoid scaring him awake. After a few quick shakes, nothing changed, the omega was peaceful sleeping.
Changing his methods, he began repeatedly calling out the name while shaking a bit harder "Killua, Killua", figuring that work but alas it did nothing as well. Not wanting to take things to any crazy measures the man stood up to go fetch his aunt when the scent in the air changed ever so slightly. Anyone else would've missed it but Gon having a keen sense of smell and adding that along with his alpha blood, he could smell anything.
Turning back around and crouching down, he sniffed the sheets that covered the face of the albino, also listening for the breathing to change in the slightest.
Concluding that Killua was pretending to be asleep, he thought it only to be fun to play as well. So with little thought, he took a seat at the edge of the bed, patiently waiting for the other to blow his cover. Feeling a little stirring under the covers, the king perked up thinking the omega had given up instead the small body just changed positions as anyone in their sleep, before returning still again.
'Persistent', he said to himself, figuring Killua had done the action to further the idea that he was still in dreamland. Joining in the little game, the younger teen was playing, Gon leaned back against the headboard kicking up his feet onto the mattress, making a mental note to order the blankets to be washed. Positioned this way he couldn't help but imagine how it would feel when he and his beloved finally shared one room and one bed, as it should be.
Completely lost in his own thoughts, he barely noticed the level of breathing become rugged. Growing worried, a tanned hand pulled back the large quilt. From appearances, the pale teen looked perfectly fine, if anything Gon wished he something to take a snapshot of the very moment Killua was breathtaking when he was sleeping, or faking in this instance. Adding that after the night was over, the probability of them being in the same bed would be nonexistent.
A bit of time passed by, a drop of red pigment entered the white waters, tinting them slowly. It was then that honey eyes had realized they had been staring, and the little actor likely felt the eyes on him. "I know you're awake", a voice had broken the silence, while he didn't mind staying like this a bit longer, even playing along with some more it was an important day.
The room became silent more, briefly hitting the nerve of the alpha until he realized that he could play with the idea a bit. Leaning over, his face only mere inches away from one of the blushed cheeks, "I'll give you to the count of 3", he chimed. "1", he announced, not risking another second the fluffy hair ruffled as Killua turned his head. Rosy lips practically connecting to the ones that hovered over his.
Following his better judgment, Gon created a wider space between the two faces, then speaking again. "You wanted to withhold your beauty from me just now", a frown crept across the older man's face, "you wound me". Blue eyes rolled at the over-exaggeration, they both knew Killua pretended to be asleep to stall preparing for the ball so hopefully, he could get out of going, though he never expected the king himself to come and wake him or stay long enough to see through the trick.
