There was the same absurdly loud knocking as the day before, and around the same time as well. The recently awoken teen didn't move, knowing the blonde alpha would leave as soon as she was told so by the king himself. A pause, 'good, now I can go back to sleep', thinking to himself figuring she had caught the hint without either him or his spouse leaving the comfort of their bed. That thought didn't last long as the beating of the wooden barrier started up once again, "Gon could you please-", rolling over and finally opening his eyes to see his husband was not in the bed. Killua was understandably upset, he was told a day with them two and it was already starting with him and unfortunately the temporary first advisor. Dragging himself out of bed, he spoke a quiet prayer before opening the door, he was greeted with a scowling Biscuit Kruger. "Good morning", trying his hardest to hide the dread in his voice.
"Why did it take you so long to answer?", another type of greeting would've been nice but he shook it off.
"I just thought I was getting a break today", he answered honestly.
"Queens don't get breaks", unfortunately, he was starting to learn that pretty quickly, or at least under her supervision they didn't get any. He didn't press the issue, closing one bedroom behind him before opening the one right across the hallway. "What's on the agenda for today?", he couldn't force any enthusiasm into the question if he tried. He was more than relieved to hear that he didn't have to socialize with a multitude of people again.
"I was testing you and you failed miserably", Killua knew that people weren't exactly his 'thing' but it felt practically like an insult. He would've defended himself but between biting back tears and having nothing to say to defend himself, he sped into his bathroom, shutting the door behind him, completely this time around, granting him all the privacy he needed but he was so immersed with clouding his mind, he didn't hear what was going on, on the other side of the door.
"Oh, you're in here", the king had woken up extra early to handle any business he had before dedicating his day to the omega. After examining the room where he had left the omega and not seeing him there, he made his way across the hall only to be welcomed by bright pink eyes. "Where's Ki?", he was sure the younger teen wasn't far but he had to ensure Bisky hadn't been there waiting on him either. Naturally, his mind was put at ease finding out his lie was only in an extension of the current room they were in. "You can leave now", he could handle everything from this point forward.
"We still have work to do", the alpha woman told him.
"You two can do that tomorrow and the next day", he wasn't trying to hear any of that he just wanted to get Killua and do what the two had planned for today which was technically nothing aside from spending the day together. Gon wouldn't call out his former mentor because of the respect he had for her. But she had only been acting advisor one day and had already shaken the albino up. He could feel she was coming from a good place but her delivery was all screwed up. Figuring he would have a more in-depth talk with her another time, he coaxed her towards the door.
The middle-aged woman disregarded the gesture and took a seat in a nearby chair in the fairly large room. "That'll get nowhere without constancy", that was true and anyone who didn't admit it was lying to themselves; but too much of anything was a bad thing and it was obvious to him that Killua was not having a good time, the opposite it seemed.
"Y'all still have five days", he didn't know how much she wanted to be done in only a week's time but he wouldn't go back on his word. Hopefully, a little quality time together will help, the omega was still freshly mated after all besides Killua would definitely be more open to his significant other so perhaps Gon could address any concerns. "See you at dinner" is his passive way of saying leave. He didn't much appreciate the attitude he was given by the older woman as she wanted out of the bedroom but stopping her to say something would only prolong her being in the room.
