THE WEDDING DAY!

"How do I look?"

Anna's jaw dropped open when she saw me in the dress. "Holy shit! You better ruin that man's life because you look hot AF!" She complimented as I giggled. Then I sighed. "I'm nervous, Bill already hates me. Don't you think I should just stay here?"

"Absolutely not! We're going to show him what the hell he's missing out on. I promise, after today we'll never have to see him again" she smiled. "Okay...I'm ready" I replied. The wedding was being held at a resort just outside of town which I drove us to, my fingers occasionally tapping against the steering wheel.

When we finally arrived I was shocked by how many guests were loitering in the car park. "If my wedding isn't this big I'm suing that bitch" Anna muttered and I laughed. "Technically I'm not supposed to be here but here we are" I replied. Anna grinned at me "Let's do this." We clambered out of the car, making our way to the entrance.

Already some guys were hitting on us but we rebuffed their advances. "Coming through coming through! Move your ass!" Anna called out as we sandwiched ourselves through the crowd. The resort hall was decorated so expensively, I knew Blair's family were behind it. "This stuff probably costs more than my life" Anna commented, poking at one of the trinkets.

I even noticed a large sign that read 'NO PETS ALLOWED!'. I nudged Anna's arm, pointing to it. "Of course she has that up" I rolled my eyes. "Let's throw fish at her head" she joked which made me laugh loudly, a few other guests looked at me oddly. We spotted a tray of wine and couldn't help ourselves to a couple of glasses but we kept in minimal, not wanting to get too drunk.

After waiting around for a long while, the ceremony was about to begin. Anna and I took our seats at the back just behind a group of men who looked roughly our age, I assumed they were Bill's friends. I didn't even notice that my leg was bouncing until Anna placed her hand on my thigh. "Hey, it's okay. You've got this" she whispered with a smile, calming me down.

Looking at the altar, there stood Bill.

He looked beautiful as ever in his crisp black suit, his glasses perched on his nose as usual and his hair groomed neatly, hands held behind his back. He looked nervous but with a smile, my heart racing. I kept thinking 'that should be me' and I started to feel a little sick. Without Anna by my side, I would've lost it already but she was keeping me sane.

The processional started with the loud music from the speakers. The bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle paired up followed by the maid of honour and best man. The ring bearer then carried the rings to the altar, followed by the cute little flower girl who tossed petals to the floor from her basket.

"This is boring" Anna mumbled. I held back a laugh. "Shh, you'll get us kicked out before we even see her-" I replied just as everyone turned their heads to the back of the room. Blair and her father were stood in the doorway, the guests swooning. She looked like a princess in her large wedding dress.

"She looks so beautiful"

"Awe oh my goodness!"

"Wow..."

Anna and I exchanged glances before she stuck her tongue out with her finger pointed, pretending to puke. Blair spotted me, her smile transformed into a hard frown. If we were anywhere else, I knew she would've said something. Her father started to walk her down the aisle towards the altar where Bill was waiting.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the marriage between this man and this woman in holy matrimony" the officiant began his speech.
