I visited Bill whenever I could. Nobody knew, it was easier that way.

With each visit, we both felt us become closer. But I still hadn't fessed up yet about being a witness. It was starting to take over my mind and others were quick to notice. "Y/n?"

I snapped out of my thoughts. "What?"

"What do you think of this dress?" Sydney held it against her curvy body, it really suited her. "I like it, you should buy it" I beamed. She nodded and looked at the price. "On second thought, I'll just borrow my sister's clothes."

We laughed and continued to look around the store for a while before we left, walking down the street together. It was a sunny day, the local townspeople were out as usual. Sydney was blabbering away about random stuff but that wasn't what had my attention.

"I bet the Chinese food here is terrible" I heard a thick New Jersey voice say.

A beautiful woman was nearby taking pictures. A man was crouching beside a red 1962 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible

"I don't see anything out of whack under dere" he replied in a New York accent. I instantly thought of Bill.

He was checking the tires, I noticed his glossy cowboy boots.

"So, I'll see you later?" Sydney asked. "Huh? Oh- yeah of course. Stay safe" I answered. We hugged goodbye and I watched as she strutted off towards home. I debated whether I should do the same but instead, I decided to talk to them first.

I approached the lady and tapped her shoulder. She flings her body to face me, her camera hung from her hand. "Oh hello, what can I do for ya?" She greeted. I could feel the man watching us. "My name is Y/n, I was wondering if you knew a Bill Gambini?"

"Yeah, we know him. How do you?" The man piped up.

"I'm a friend, you must be his cousin Vinny?" I replied as the man stood up and joined us. "The one and only" Vinny's lips curled into a grin. "I'm Lisa, nice to meet ya babe" her voice dripped like honey.

"Will um, will they be okay?" I asked nervously. Vinny's face softened as he realised what I meant. "They'll be fine, I'm a lawyer. Newly admitted to the bar but I know my stuff" Vinny convinced. He had a certain swag about him which made him stand out. I nodded my head in response.

I pulled out a piece of paper and scribbled my number down. "If you ever need anything, just call me. I would like to help any way that I can" I smiled politely. Vinny took the paper and carefully placed it into his pocket. "Will do Y/n."

As I began to walk away, Lisa called out to me.

"What's your Chinese food like around here?"

I giggled, she must really like Chinese.

"It's terrible" I grinned before heading towards home.
