Running errands.

Possibly the most boring tasks known to the human race but they've gotta be done. I was walking around the supermarket picking out groceries when my phone rang. "Hello?" I answered, half distracted by the bottle in my hand.

"Hey Y/n, do you wanna come over?"

Even just hearing Bill's voice made me feel butterflies.

"Sure! I'm just out grocery shopping so I'll swing by after" I replied.

"Great, see you later."

I was so over the moon I didn't even see I had walked straight into another person. "Watch it will ya!" The person snapped at me. "Sorry!" I said awkwardly. "Klutz" they muttered and stormed off. Other people around were looking nosily so I quickly made my way into the next aisle and continued on as if nothing happened.

"Look what I got," Bill said as he came into the living room. Two glasses of wine were in his hands as he grinned at me. "You lifesaver" I joked, gratefully taking my drink. He sat beside me on the couch, tv blaring in the background.

"So how-" he began but he was interrupted by his phone ringing. Bill looked at the screen and lightly sighed, not bothering to answer it. We sat there in silence, listening to the phone continue to ring until the sound died down.

"Aren't you going to answer?" I asked with a small chuckle. He shook his head. "God no, if I talk to them I might lose my mind" he replied. By the look on his face, I could tell something was up. "What's wrong?"

Bill hesitated for a moment before suddenly laying his head in my lap. "Blair's family have been calling me nonstop about the wedding and I'm under a lot of pressure-" he started to rant to me. To comfort him, I played with his hair and listened to every word.

Three large wines later, he finally came to end with an exhausted sigh. "I'm sorry you're under all that stress. You deserve better" I said. He hiccuped, a little tipsy but not drunk. "You think so Y/n?"

"I know so"

We shuffled position slightly, both of us laying as he nestled his head into my neck. Bill started mumbling but I couldn't understand what he was saying. "Whaaat I can't hear you" I giggled, lifting his chin up a little.

"I saiddd" he hiccuped "You're really special to me."

We smiled at each other, a feeling of content waving over. "Bill I-"

He pulled me in closer and kissed me. It was sudden but very meaningful. I should've pulled back, he was engaged after all. He moved on top, not once breaking the heavy heated kiss. I could feel his hands running through my hair.

After a moment, he broke away. "Shit..." Bill sat up, looking at me with eyes full of guilt. "I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me" he said. I sat up and rested my hand on his shoulder. "I won't tell. If I'm being honest, I liked it..."

He smiled a tiny bit. "Yeah, me too."
