I was pacing in my room. Every second Ryan would be ringing the bell and we would go on a date. A real date! We had spent a lot of time with each other over the last two weeks, but somehow this was different. I would ask him to be my boyfriend! Or at least I was planning to do so. I was so nervous, I seriously felt like I was going to puke any second. Not really a good start for a relationship...

After I had told Nate about Ryan, I had also told him about our date, and he offered to look after Ethan until tomorrow and take him to kindergarten then. Because he had gotten me into having to spend my whole Saturday afternoon in school, as he said. Well, I didn't complain. As much as I loved Ethan, some alone time with Ryan definitely was something I would love to have.

I almost jumped in the air when the bell suddenly rang. I waited a few seconds behind the closed door to not seem too eager before I opened it and revealed a stunning looking Ryan. He had told me to wear casual as always when I had asked him for a dress code. Still, he was incredibly handsome, standing there in his baggy jeans and a giant grey jumper. Not like he ever did not look handsome though...

"Hi!" How cute, he blushed! "Hi!" Well, I probably did too.... "Erm...let's get going? Micah, my brother lets me share his car. I think he feels guilty for having been a bad brother. So, uhm...yeah." I almost laughed at his shyness but composed myself. I probably wasn't much better.

During the car ride we listened to some metal music but since he didn't seem to know one song, I didn't think it was what he listened normally too. Was he embarrassed of his taste in music? I decided to keep this in mind, I would ask him about it later. For now I just enjoyed the comfortable silence hanging between us, only interrupted from time to time by my questions about where we were going. He never answered me! This makes it sound like it was an hour-long ride when in reality it had only been twenty minutes. What can I say? I was a very impatient guy!

We stopped at an old parking lot I had never been before. If Ryan would leave me there, I would never get home again! "Liam? Liam! Finally! Can you please take these blankets?" I took what Ryan gave me. He himself held something what looked like a picknick basket in his right hand. Oh, how original... In his left hand he had a.... soccer ball? "Where are we going?" I questioned. "You'll see.", was the only response I got. I huffed but followed Ryan nonetheless into the woods.

"Oh, by the way: Have you ever thought about studying art? You know, after the incredible decorating of our school you and Nate did.", Ryan questioned. I huffed. "Oh, shut it! I know myself that it looks horrible! But seriously? Who really got the idea to let US do this? It was bound to fail from the beginning!" Ryan laughed. I shrugged my shoulders. It was true what I had said. The hallways did look horrendous.

After a five-minute walk the forest ended and we stood at the edge of a soccer field. I turned to Ryan, a look on my face that said "Really?". "What? I thought a picknick is cliché enough, let's mix it up with our favourite thing to do: soccer!"

He looked so enthusiastic about his idea, I just had to laugh. He was too cute! "Okay. Let's see who's the better soccer player for real. You, or me?" With that I snatched the ball out of his hand and started drippling it in the direction of one of the goals. "Hey!" Ryan was quick to follow me. "That's unfair!"

With a huff I fell back in the grass. Ryan laughed but laid down next to me anyways. The last half an hour had been exhausting as hell! I had to say, Ryan was in better shape than my teammates. But not better than me! Every time one of us had shot a goal, the other had been quick to follow. Currently it was 12:12 and I think it would stay this way. I was unbelievingly hungry!

When I told Ryan that, he hopped onto his feet and pulled me up as well. "So then let's eat!" Proudly he showed off his basket he had brought. Apparently, he had been standing in the kitchen for one and a half hour to make a ton of sandwiches and a fruit salad. "Mmhhh, I love fruit salad!", I exclaimed. And because I was always too lazy to make one, I never got to eat one. This was perfect. But first I would taste the sandwiches...

Swiping the last crumbs off my jacket I laid down in the grass again, this time using Ryan's thighs as a pillow. I felt like in the movies! I smiled to myself because of that thought. "What got you smiling?", Ryan asked, grinning himself while looking down at me. "Oh nothing. I just really liked today. Thank you." I sat halfway up to kiss him. He still lightly tasted like fruit salad and I bet I did too. Because of our strange position our teeth clanked together, and the kiss was a bit sloppy. Nevertheless it was perfect. After a few seconds we parted, chuckling slightly. "Well, that has been kinda awkward..." I just nodded. Now would be the perfect moment to ask him to be my boyfriend. But what if-

"Liam? I have to ask you something." Ryannervously interrupted my thoughts. Hesitatingly I nodded. "Erm...do you...wanttobemyboyfriend?""What?" "Do you-""No, I got what you said. But are you serious?!" Ryan shook his head yes. I sat up and launched myself at him, attacking him in another kiss. "YESSSS!"
