Finally the week was over! Because our coach was ill, practise was cancelled, so we just had to wait until Nate and Liam would be done. We all had agreed to meet up at school to drive to Benn's hat together. Apparently, his parents also owned a small bus with nine seats so we could all ride there in own vehicle. Currently me, Jamie, Andy, Jeremy and Benn waited in front of our school for Liam and Nate. As far as I knew their practise had ended almost an hour ago.

As we waited, Andy and Jeremy had a small argument if Andy's amount of bandages and first aid stuff was reasonable or just "too much". I sided with Jeremy this time. No one needed this many bandages and pills. Not even seven teenage boys on vacation.

In the meantime Jamie chased Benn around the parking lot because he had eaten his last skittle. Boys...

I was standing a bit further on the side and texted Liam. "Where are you? We're waiting!" I was surprised to get an immediate reply. "Sorry! Had to go back bc we forgot Ethan's toothbrush. We're coming in five minutes!" "Hey boys! Let's start loading the bus. Nate and Liam should be here in five minutes!" my friends looked at me, surprised I was the one with information about LIAM WILLIAMS.

Five minutes later all of us were finally here. Since there normally were three seats in each row, Benn had left one in the last row at home so we would have more space for our bags. Luckily, we all would rent our skis there to have more space in the bus. But there still was question of who was sitting where.

"So, obviously I'm driving!", Benn stated. "And because Andy is the only one quiet enough to not distract me, he is allowed to sit in the front with me. The rest of you can sort the seating arrangement out for themselves." With this he sat down in the driver's seat and looked the address up on google maps. "Okay, since Nate and Liam were the last ones to come, they should be in the back!" Jeremy's reasoning made sense, so me and Jamie nodded. "No!", Nate almost shouted. That got him a few strange looks from us. Embarrassed he looked at the ground. "He gets sick every time we go anywhere. He can't sit in the back." Liam explained. "Seriously?!" "what? It's not my fault!" Before Jeremy and Nate could start a fight, Jamie stepped between them. "Okay, since Ryan is the smallest, he should sit in the back with Liam." What? Just because I was team captain it didn't mean I was tall! Well, I was, but my friends were just giants! "Hey, that's not fair!"

Seemed like the others thought it was indeed fair. Because ten minutes later I found myself being squished between the wall and Liam. But it wasn't that bad. At least I could sit next to Liam. But it was also kinda awkward. I almost had no room where I could put my hands. Putting both of them on my own legs would be rather uncomfortable. Putting one of them on Liam's leg could give him the wrong idea. So, now I sat there, holding both of my hands to my chest. Great. How should I survive the next two hours?

Obviously, Liam had caught on to my inner struggles because he sighed. Then he took my right hands in his slightly smaller ones and placed it on his thigh. Carefully slipping his fingers through mine, he just continued to look out of the window. I did too, while trying to ignore the fact that my heartbeat had just gone up by hundred just because of holding my boyfriend's hand!

"Who thought it would be a good idea putting these two together in the last row?", Jamie asked with a helpless voice. "You!", six voices shouted back at him. Liam and I had been arguing about who was the better skier between me and him, then about the fact if liquorice was worth being called a sweet because it wasn't really sweet and then we started bickering about the question if blue or orange was the prettier colour. I mean, blue obviously! And no, that had nothing to do with the fact that Liam's eyes were blue. Obviously.

I guess I got why our friends were annoyed with us arguing for the last forty minutes. But hey, it was just in our nature to disagree with each other, even if we were boyfriends. Although no one knew about that. Benn decided to solve the problem by forbidding us to talk for the rest of the ride or he would stop, and we could walk to the hat. Liam and I both looked out the windows opposite to each other. Not that we really were angry with each other, but I could see him pout and felt myself do the same. Still, we hadn't stopped holding hands.

I felt a hand gently shaking me awake. "Come on, we're here!" Groggily I opened my eyes and found myself staring into Liam's pretty ones. "How long have I been asleep?" Liam grinned. "About an hour. And you looked like a cute baby kitten..." I knew he said it because he knew I didn't like being called cute. "You know, kitten already implies the cat being a baby. Saying it again is therefore unnecessary." I said and slipped past him out of the bus. "Don't leave me!", Liam whined and quickly followed after me. I was about to walk inside where our friends were waiting probably, when Liam grabbed my hand.

I turned around. "Hey...", Liam blushed slightly. "How about a last kiss? Before we "aren't allowed" to for the next two days." I could hear that he was annoyed about the fact that I didn't even want to tell my friends about us. But I couldn't help it, I just felt too unsure. So I just took a step towards him and put my free hand on his cheek. "Sure." I leaned in and connected our lips in a sweet kiss.
