I didn't think I'd ever been this nervous before in my life. Considering the game was something I had to go through every year the previous statement probably had been a lie. It still didn't feel like one. Trying to put my nervous energy into anything else apart from fiddling with my fingers I started to lightly jump up and down until a firm grip on my shoulder stopped me from doing so. "God Williams, stop doing this! You're like a bunny, all jumpy. No wonders, we will eat you alive tonight like the big bad wolves we are!" The rest of Ryan's team roared like their captain had just said some incredible intelligent. Which he hadn't. I loved Ryan but he definitely would have to work on his motivational speeches.

Before I could come up with a witty remark the referee blew the whistle that signalled the start of tonight's events. Sending me one last cocky grin, that showed his certainty that he would win this game, my boyfriend turned around a started jogging, leading his team on the pitch. Admiring the way his ass and arms looked in the tight soccer uniform I waited for my cue to make an appearance on the field.

The whistles and shouting Ryan's team had received got even louder when we ran out of the locker room. HA! Take that! We still are more loved by our school! I almost stick out my tongue at the opposite team but contained myself last minute. That would have been a bit too immature.

Both teams had found their constellations and me and Ryan were called to shake each other's hands and "whish good luck" and "Show good team spirit" or some shit like that. Usually that always had been the part of the game I dreaded the most. Apart from loosing it of course -but we rarely ever did that. Now I looked forward to touching Ryan. Even just so subtle like shaking his hand as his opposite team captain. "You will go down!" "You wish!" I grinned at my beloved rival before I walked back. As much as I loved Ryan, for tonight we were enemies.

We had the kick-off and as soon as the whistle blew, Nate kicked the ball to me, and I was in full soccer mode. Nothing apart from the things revolving the ball between my feet existed anymore. My eyes only focused on my opponents and my teammates and I couldn't even make out the loud audience anymore. Passing the ball to one of our strikers I jogged along and tried to keep an overview. It had been just ten minutes into the game, and it was already in full force. I would be exhausted by the end of it.

Grumbling slightly I pushed my way passed my teammates and opponents into the locker room. It was halftime and I desperately needed to drink some water. The current score was 1-0, sadly for Ryan's team and I was pissed at myself. I'd had the chance to shoot a goal two times but always gave of the ball to one of my teammates, thinking they had a better chance but looking back at it now, that definitely hadn't been the case. I would not loose this game!

"That's the right mindset, Williams! You heard him boys, we will win tonight!", Coach picked up my subconsciously mumbled resolution. Sitting up again I opened my mouth again: "This is our last time playing against those morons with pea-sized brains and we will not go done! Got that?!" Choruses of "Yes" "Yeahs" and other approving phrases came pack to me. "Alright boys. Then LETS DO THIS SHIT!" I screamed before running back out on the pitch, followed by a horde of shouting teenage boys.

The game went into overtime and then into penalty. I had managed to score once for our teams and our goalkeeper had held all the aimed shots of the other team. Now Nate, Chris, Sam, Zayn and I had been chosen to do the penalty shots. For the other team Andy, Jeremy, Benn, Jamie and obviously Ryan tried their luck against our goalie. So far, all six shots had gone into the net, three from out team and three from Ryan's. The only one left to shoot were Nate and I and Andy and Ryan.
