Chapter 31

Our popularity is fucking increasing day by day, specially when it was revealed that we're working on another album. Nacucurious ang mga tao matapos mapakinggan ang isang kanta namin kaya mas lalo kaming nadidiscover. It was amusing considering that we're basically on hiatus right now.

Eros and I hardly have time to argue anymore due to busy schedules. Marami kaming inaasikaso sa school at sa Dekada kaya naman kapag may oras ay nilalaan na lang namin sa ibang bagay. Our petty banters were upgraded into intimate exchange of moans and groans.

Sometimes, we'd go on a date. Most of the time, we'd just stay at home. Hell knows how much I miss partying, though. Halos hindi na kami nagc-club dahil bukod sa walang oras ay dinudumog din kami ng mga tao. Miss Gatch has already given us bodyguards, but still, I miss going out and doing shits freely and carelessly.

Eros let out a low laugh when I rolled the dice and got number three. Kampante siyang humalukipkip at nginisihan ako.

Damn it.

I picked up my token and placed it to Jail that was three steps forward from my previous place. Valen was grinning when he held out his hand to me.

Umirap ako at nagbigay ng fifty pesos bilang piyansa.

"I'm beating your ass up, babe. Kay Valen ka mababankrupt."

"It's just fifty pesos." I shrugged. Ang confident niya masyado! Mas lamang naman ang pera ko kaysa sa kanya!

We're playing monopoly while waiting for Justin to be back from Miss Gatch's office. It's a one-on-one battle between me and Eros. Valen, being the 'money wise' person that he is, is the Banker and the Auctioner. We're using real money because wala naman kaming mapapala kung gagamitin ang play money lalo na't competitive kaming lahat.

Eros rolled the dice at abot abot na lang ang dasal ko na sana mag land siya sa property ko. I gasped when he got number seven. Pigil hininga akong nagbilang mula sa kinalalagyan ng token niya papunta sa ikapitong step. His lips parted when he landed on the Boardwalk... which was the property with the highest rent... which also happened to be mine.

Pinakawalan ko ang hiningang pinipigilan at saktong napatingin kay Valen na manghang nakatitig sa 'kin. We both laughed out loud when the next thing we heard were curses from Eros Morgan, the Monopoly God among us.

"Sa akin ka nabankrupt, mahal ko! Give me the goddamn payment!" I said as I held out my hand to him.

"Tangina..." pumikit siya nang mariin at humiga sa sahig ng studio, hawak sa dibdib ang pera niyang kulang pa sa dalawang libong renta.

This should be written in history! Wala pang nakakatalo kay Eros sa monopoly before kaya bihira lang namin itong laruin. And now, he's met his downfall!

Sumunod ako sa kanya sa sahig habang nilalahad pa rin ang kamay. "Talo ka na! Paluwalan mo!" Natawa ako lalo nang tinalikuran niya ako ngunit patuloy ko siyang hinaharap sa 'kin.

"Damn it," hinatak niya ako at niyakap. "I only have one thousand eight hunded fifty pesos, can I just kiss you instead?"

"Pay me!"

"Fuck it," he muttered under his breath, not liking to be the loser. "Ayaw mo ng kiss?"

"I'll take the money AND the kiss."

"Wow, I feel really out of place!" Valen cut us off. "This is a game of money! Walang boyfriend-boyfriend kapag natalo! Dude, business student ka ba talaga?" He chuckled.

Oo nga naman!

"Akin na, Eros Morgan!"

Pikit mata niyang binigay sa 'kin ang pera at mukhang masama pa ang loob nang pinaluwalan ang kulang no'n. Valen and I did a high five as he put the the game back inside its box. Hinatak ko na patayo si Eros ngunit nagpabigat ito kaya hinayaan ko siyang nakahiga ro'n.
