"Are you and Eros fighting?"

Nangunot ang noo ko nang biglang nagtanong si Valen.

"Why'd you ask?"

He shrugged. "I asked him if he wants to hangout here, he said ayaw niya."

My brow automatically raised. Annoyed now. Since our fight in the waiting room, the goderfucker didn't show up again. Nagpapakita lang kapag may practice.

I didn't try to reach out anymore because I think sumobra ang inis ko last time. I'm still mad right now and I don't wanna fuel it. Bahala na siya kung anong tingin niya sa 'min.

"Last time we talked, he said he was busy," sabi ko.

"Ooh," he leaned on the kitchen counter. "So you don't talk now?"

I glared at him. "Ayaw nga magpakita, makipag-usap pa kaya?"

Napangisi siya. "So magkagalit nga kayo?"

"I guess."

"Why, tho?"

My eyes narrowed at him before I pointed at his forehead. "You chismoso."

He snatched my hand and rolled his eyes. "Come on. That motherfucker wouldn't tell me a thing. What happened ba? You wanna go to his house?"

"No damn way."

Iniwan ko siya sa kitchen para magdilig ng halaman sa labas. It's night time but I prefer doing it at night because I don't wake up early. And I know damn well this isn't healthy for plants, but I'm trying, okay?

My neighbors like exchanging plants. But all I had were trees and grass back then. Wala akong binibigay nung una dahil 'di ko naman pwedeng bunutin ang mga puno pero patuloy pa rin silang nagbibigay. Now I have a whole ass garden around my front yard. Like a Tita or something.

Eros once thought I had an interest in plants. He saw me decorating the pool area with it, so the next day, I was stunned when he brought a big fucking cactus that's now standing proud at my gateway. Tinanggap ko na lang at inexplain ang palitan ng halaman ng mga kapitbahay.

Kapag may nagbibigay ulit ay pinapalitan ko ito ng dating bigay sa 'kin. Some I gave to Justin's mom. Pati kay Eros at Valen, nagpapadala ako ng halaman kapag uuwi na sila. That started when Eros gave me the fucking cactus that he said he ordered from outside the city. That night, he went home with some of my plants in exchange.

I sneered.

"Kala niyo 'di ko napapansin, tss..." nakasunod pa rin si Valen sa 'kin at nakahalukipkip pa. "Badtrip, bro. Pati kami ni Justin, 'di pinaparamdaman."

I had to stop and remember what we were talking about. Then I rolled my eyes. Yeah, he's still not finished with the Eros issue.

"That's how he treats his friends," simpleng sagot ko dahil ayoko nang mainis.

He smirked. "Why? You friendzoned him?"

I almost let go of the hose. "What?!"

When I looked at him, nakataas na ang isang kilay niya at nagdududa. Mukhang biro lamang ang sinabi niya ngunit sa pagpapanic ko, may nabuong speculation sa isip niya.

"What the fuck... are you guys a thing?"

I don't know how to explain what I felt when he asked that. Nagpapanic ang utak ko sa 'di malamang dahilan. How are we in this kind of conversation? Kanina lang ay halaman ang nasa isip ko! All I know is that I have to deny because it's the truth.
