Derek POV:

I tracked the Alpha here, at the high school.

The Chemistry teacher that Hana thinks is amusing is erasing something on the chalkboard. When he's done, he turns to grab his jacket and books off his desk. He stops and picks up what seems to be a crumpled up piece of paper. I can't see much, but I can see big red "Xs" drawn next to a list, each bullet with the last word "Harris." There is one "Harris" without an "X" next to it. The teacher puts the paper in the pocket of his blazer.

That's when I sense him. The Alpha.

I hear a low growl and see a dark shadow standing behind the teacher. He hears it too.

"Please don't kill me," he pleads.

"Do you know who wrote that list?" the Alpha grumbles. I don't move.

I won't give myself up unless the Alpha attacks.

"Laura. Laura Hale," the teacher tells him.

Laura?

"Do you know why she was looking for you?" the Alpha taunts. "I know why. Turn around, Adrian. Turn around and I'll show you."

Adrian shakes his head, his entire body trembling from fear.

"Turn around!" the Alpha orders.

"No. Please," Adrian begs.

"Look at me. Look at what you've done!" Adrian doesn't move. I see a chair fly over his right shoulder and hit the chalkboard.

The Alpha starts pacing toward him with another chair, aiming for his head, and I decide that I have to reveal myself.

"Get down!" I yell as I slam him to the ground. The chair hits the chalkboard right where Adrian was standing.

I look up, but the Alpha is gone.

I stand up but a blinding light shines through the windows of the room. I hear sirens and tires screech.

Shit. They found me.

"This is the police. You're surrounded. No one leave the building," I hear the police yell while their sirens blare. I look around the room for an escape route. I run out the classroom door, exit the building, and run down the streets of Beacon Hills.

I'm sprinting as fast as I can, the cops on my tail.

"Repeat. Suspect is on foot. We're in pursuit, heading northwest," I hear the Sheriff report into his walkie. I run faster.

I see a car stop in front of my path. I extend my claws and skid across the pavement trying to stop myself from getting hit.

I get up and run to the left, the police almost trapping me.

"He's on foot. Just ran into the iron works," I hear Chris Argent tell someone.

Shit. I can outrun the police, but I'm not too sure about a pair of hunters.

"Wait, wait. Did you say on foot?" I hear Kate respond through a phone. He must be on a call with her.

"Yeah, into the iron works," he confirms.

"Running?" Kate exclaims.

"Yes, running!" Chris yells.

"If he's on foot, then who the hell is driving his car?"

My car? Someone is driving my car?

"Come on, get the dogs," I hear an officer shout. I can hear the police's hunting dogs bark as they try to sniff me out. They're about to catch me, so I turn around and hiss at them, shifted.
