"Derek. Can you hear me? Derek, can you hear me?" Deaton tries to wake him up while he lays in my arms.

Peter is alive. Lydia brought him back. How? How did she know about him?

After he rose from the floor, he and Lydia walked out without sparing a glance at us. I rushed over to Derek and held him in my arms, my entire body shaking.

I couldn't believe what I had just witnessed. My mind couldn't wrap my head around it.

Deaton rushed in 5 minutes later, and here we are.

"Derek, wake up. Please," I brush the pad of my thumb across his cheek.

"I need you to answer me, Derek. Derek! We don't have much time," Deaton sighs. He reaches into his pocket and takes out a rod of some sort. He puts it to his mouth and blows.

It's a dog whistle.

Derek's eyes immediately open and he begins to pant, his chest heaving.

"That sound. What was it?" he asks as I help him sit up. Deaton holds up the whistle provided with a shit-eating grin. Derek scoffs and tries to stand up. I put his arm over my shoulder and help support him as he gets to his feet.

"You're going to be weak for several hours," Deaton tells him as he tries to regain some balance. Derek looks down at the hole in the floor.

"It actually happened," he states in disbelief.

"Don't worry. You're still an Alpha," Deaton assures him. "But, as usual, not a particularly competent one."

"Hey!" I glare at him. "No need to be passive-aggressive."

"Where is he?" Derek asks.

"I wish I could tell you," Deaton sighs.

"Then how about you tell me what you're doing here and why you're helping me," Derek untrustingly demands.

"Helping your family actually used to be a pretty important part of my life. Helping you was a promise I made to your mother." Derek looks taken aback.

"You're the one my sister talked about. She said you're a kind of advisor?" he questions.

"She was right. And I have some advice that you need to listen to very closely right now," Deaton gets serious. "What Peter managed to do doesn't come without a price. He'll be physically weak, so he'll rely on the strength of his intelligence, his cunning. He's going to come at you, Derek. He'll try to twist his way inside your head, preying on your insecurities. He'll tell you that he's the only way you can stop Gerard. Do not trust him."

"I don't trust anyone but Hana," Derek stiffens.

"I know. If you did, you might be the Alpha you like to think you are." I glare at the remark. "And unfortunately, the one other person you should trust doesn't trust you at all."

"Scott," Derek swallows.

"He's with Stilinski right now. You need to find him. You need to find him as fast as you can. I've known Gerard for a long time." Derek and my eyes widen at the fact. "He always has a plan. And something tells me it's going exactly the way he wants it to."

"I have to find him," Derek nods. He takes his arm off me and stands tall, his wounds already healing.

"Text me when you find them. I have to go home first to check..." I take a deep breath, not trusting myself to not burst into tears. "To check if she's still here." Derek nods, knowing exactly who I'm talking about. "There's no way she went through with it but.... but I have to check. I just have to." Derek's eyes show understanding as he sadly gazes at me.
