"You've got to be fucking shitting me right now. Seriously. What the actual fuck?" Collette has been cursing ever since we explained everything. We explained the dead pool a couple days ago, and we felt she was ready to learn about what else has happened since I've been here.

Peter. The Hale fire. Kate. Jackson and the Kanima. The Alpha pack. Deaton. Jennifer and the Darach. The nogitsune. Kate again.

Derek and I have just been waiting for her to finish processing everything. It's been a long couple of hours.

"Wait, so Jackson is now in London. He's a werewolf in London? Funny," Collette recounts. "And Kate died... and now she's back. And you are too. And your friend Stiles was possessed by an evil spirit, but he's not anymore?" Derek and I nod. "Shit a brick. Holy fuck."

My phone rings, creating a relishing break from her profanity. "Lyds?"

"Hana, Scott and I are heading over with Parrish. Something's happened," Lydia tells me frantically. I can hear her car engine through the speaker.

"What's wrong? What happened?" I ask worriedly.

"Haigh went after him because he's on the dead pool. But he's fine. Like, completely fine," she tells me.

"That's good then, right?"

"Well, he walked through actual fire without any damage. So I would argue he's not completely fine," she snaps.

"We're waiting for you," I say before hanging up the phone. I turn to Collette and Derek. "Looks like you get to meet the pack."

Lydia, Scott, and Parrish walk through the door about 10 minutes later. Stiles is at the hospital with his dad, but Scott is keeping him updated. Collette's eyes widen and I notice her scan Parrish up and down. Parrish has the same intrigued look on his face when he notices her too.

"Collette, meet our True Alpha, Scott McCall, and our queen bee and resident banshee, Lydia Martin," I introduced her to my friends. "This is my friend Collette from back home. She's going to stay in Beacon for a bit."

"Hey, nice to meet you," Scott shakes her hand with a kind smile. Lydia smiles warmly. "Though it would be better if it weren't under the current circumstances."

"And that man is Deputy Jordan Parrish," I motion to Parrish. "He works for Stiles's dad, Noah."

"Um... hello," Parrish extends his hand out to her. Collette takes it and they shake in greeting. His Adam's apple bobs as they pull away. "It's nice to meet you."

"You too," Collette replies with a tinge of pink dusting her cheeks. "So... I hear you're on the dead pool."

With her perfect segway, we get straight to business. "What happened?" Derek asks. Parrish tells us that his coworker Haighs attempted to burn him alive in his car with gasoline. But Parrish was able to walk out of it with all his clothes burnt off and the car in complete ruins, but his body completely unharmed. He shows us his hands, no scars or burns or anything. It's quite remarkable, really.

"He covered you in gasoline?" I gasp worriedly as Derek inspects Parrish himself. Parrish nods.

"It's the hair and nails, isn't it?" Lydia asks. "The parts of the body that are essentially dead."

"Well, they should be gone," Derek notes.

"I was set on fire. All of me should be gone," Parrish snaps, obviously stressed and panicked from what had just occurred.
