It's Derek and my first date tonight!
Cel is going to cover for me while I'm out, since I also cover for her when she and Scott sneak out. I don't know where Derek is taking me, so I'm just going to figure my outfit out myself. I would love if Lydia were here to help me, but she's still in a coma from the attack.
I sigh and open my closet, and my eyes are drawn to the black dress in the back. I pull it out and gasp.
It's exactly the way I envisioned my dress for the formal. Cel and Lydia must have gotten it for me.
I missed the formal, and I never got to wear the dress. I picked black because I knew it was Derek's favorite color. I was hoping to show him after the dance, but that obviously didn't work out.
I should wear it for our date!
I quickly brush through my hair, keeping it straight and natural. I put on light makeup, only mascara, blush, and a rosy lip. I put on a pair of gold hoops and put on the dress.
It hugs my every curve, fitting me perfectly. I grab a pair of black heels from my closet and look at myself in a mirror.
"Oh, Hana!" I hear Cel gasp. I turn to the door and see Cel standing in the doorway, Rica behind her. She closes the door and steps forward to me, her mouth agape. "You look beautiful!'
"Thanks," I blush. "Do you think he'll like it?" I smooth the dress out, making sure the fabric isn't creased.
"He'll love it," Cel smiles.
"Now to sneak past Mom and Dad," I sigh.
"I got you covered," Cel assures me. "I convinced them to go on a walk with me and Ricochet. I told them you were with Stiles and I texted him to cover for you if they ask."
"Thanks for all this," I hug my sister.
"No problem. We're leaving in 2 minutes, so sneak out the back door and go to the left. I'll lead our walk to the right, ok?" I nod and Cel lets me go. I give Rica a head kiss before she and Cel leave to walk. 2 minutes later, I hear the front door close.
I take my chance. I rush down the stairs and grab my keys, phone, and a white sweater. I lock the back door and walk down the sidewalk.
At the end of the street, I see a familiar black Camaro. I break out into a smile when Derek steps out, looking as handsome as ever. He's wearing a leather jacket atop a navy henley shirt, and black jeans.
"You look beautiful," he compliments when I reach him.
"It was supposed to be my formal dress," I admit. He takes me into his arms and presses a light kiss to my lips.
"All eyes would've been on you. You're stunning." I bask in his compliments and attention. He lets me go and grabs the handle to the passenger-side door, opening it for me to enter.
"Thank you," I say to him as I get into the vehicle. He shuts the door and walks back around, getting into the driver's seat. We buckle our seatbelts and he drives off.
We drive for about 3 minutes before I recognize the path he's taking. "Derek, are we going to the Hale house?" I turn to him. He nods his head, eyes trained on the road.
I wonder what he has planned. I hope I didn't dress too fancy.
He turns on the radio and Taylor Swift plays throughout the car. I sing and I swear I hear Derek humming.
He pulls up to the house and parks the car. He gets out of his seat and out of the car, and walks over to my side. He graciously opens the door for me and offers his hand. I smile and place mine in his before stepping out.
