George POV.

The memory of what happened at lunch could never leave my mind. Me sitting on Clay's lap just kept replaying in my mind and every time I glanced at the blond it seems he was thinking the same thing.
We both tried to focus on the lesson but our eyes kept shifting over to meet eachother's.

Finally the last bell of the day rang and everyone began filing out of the classroom, besides Clay and I of course.
Slowly, we both stood and left, not bothering to make eye contact or talk, when we got to the hallway filled with students eager to get home we split off.
He tried to follow me, but I began weaving through students and too my locker before he could catch up with me.

Once I had put away my books and Clay still hadn't managed to catch up with me I texted him, telling him that I'd just walk home instead of him giving me a ride.
I was out on the street before he replied, he told me to stay where I was and wait for him, but I just ignored the message.

The school wasn't too far from a small neighbourhood with a cafe, so I headed that way. It was nice to have a break from the blond, but still I also quite liked hanging out with him, even if it was awkward sometimes.
He was quite funny when you got to know him, and smart and sporty. And he has saved me from getting hurt several times now too. He was also quite good looking, was it gay to think that? No, it was a fact.

I sighed out in annoyance, this was so complicated. He was fun to spend time with, even if he did do some... strange things sometimes, but, as I have to keep reminding myself, my parents are paying him to do this.
Maybe I'll just think about this later, I slipped into the cafe and ordered a Flat White coffee, before sitting in the window and beginning to flick through my newest book. Once my coffee had been delivered I just began looking out the window, watching cars speed past and children being dragged to or from shops by their parents. I remembered back when life was that simple, no need to worry about bullies or tests, just on playing games all day and watching cartoons.

Back in the good old days before I was hated. I sighed and turned back to the table to take a sip of my drink, when I heard the small tinker of the bell above the door. As the figure made their way up to the counter to order a drink I growled in annoyance, the man heard and stopped before choosing a drink.

The figure of a familiar looking blond spun around and spotted me.
At first he had a confused expression before covering it up and coming over to me, he sat down without being invited too and I gave him a glare. "What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I could ask you the same thing, Georgie." Clay replied, as he lifted my coffee off the table and took a sip while not breaking eye contact.
"Here for a coffee, which you just drank." I hoped he could here the discontent in my voice.
"Well, I'm here for you, which I just found."

He gave me a smirk and took a long sip of my coffee before handing it back to me. I sat it back on the table, no longer wanting to drink it.
"How did you find me here?" I asked accusingly, suspicion lacing my words.
"Your parents set up a find my friend's app, I texted them saying you ran off after last period." Clay shrugged as though it was nothing.

I just rolled my eyes as he picked my coffee back up, apparently claiming it since I refused to drink it. As he took a long sip I stood and left the cafe, growing more angry, could he seriously never give me space?
Clay had finally run out onto the streets and stood behind me. "Are you seriously going to walk all the way home?" He questioned, "it is at least an hour's walk."
I spun around too face him while still walking backwards and shrugged, "nothing better to do."

"What if there was?"
What did that mean? Nevermind, doesn't matter. I just ignored him and continued walking, but he repeated his question louder.
"What if there was George?"

"What do you mean, Clay?" I finally stopped walking as he ran to catch up with me.
"Would you like to go to the movies with me George? There's a cinema a few minutes away that I passed on the way here. I think there was an action movie and a comedy and maybe a couple of romances and horrors"
"Wait, go to the movies, you mean like a date?"
The blond shook his head, "not a date per-say, just... two friends hanging out."

'but I want it too be a date,' a small part of me whined internally. I tried not to sound to eager, but really a movie would be nice, "sure. I'll go to the movies with you."
His mouth grew into a wide grin, as he reached out and grabbed my hand, he began gently pulling me through the streets towards the cinema.

God, I already thought this was a bad idea.
