Clay POV.
Without taking George out for breakfast my morning schedule was more relaxed, I cleaned my room and ate some breakfast then just waited around downstairs.
The Brit made his way downstairs, he was wearing plain clothes: was wearing black jeans and a white shirt. He gave me a small smile before grabbing some food for breakfast. I could hear his parents having a conversation with him in the kitchen before he returned, eating some fresh fruit.
I glanced at the clock, 8:32, probably time to get going. I turned to the brunette, "probably time to leave Georgie" I said.
He gave me a small nod before following me to the garage, I'd already grabbed the keys to the Ferrari and slid into the drivers seat, George did he same on the passenger's seat.
We drove out onto the street and talked in a simple pleasant conversation.
George POV.
Last night, after my conversation with Clay, I found it hard to sleep. I kept thinking about him, and how he seemed to want to be friends with me, and how handsome he looked shirtless. No not that! Fuck, this was so confusing.
I sat quietly in the Ferrari, trying to just process my thoughts, but he seemed interested in having a conversation. I am fine with talking with him I guess.
"Hey Georgie, so about yesterday have you chosen what you want me to do?"
"Uh- what?" The fuck was he talking about?
"Yesterday. I gave you 2 options, remember?"
I do remember. "you're parents put me in charge of your safety and so I need to do that." The tall blond growled at me, as I was pressed against a shelf of books, "And we can do it one of two ways. Either you willingly hang out with me during school as friends, and I subtly keep an eye on you. Or, I will have to force you to stay with me, maybe even set up a damn find my friends for your phone."
I sighed at the memory, "yeah I do remember Clay. Guess I'll willingly hang out with you." Although it does feel like I'm gonna be hanging out with him unwillingly.
The blond nodded at my response, "well we are here now Georgie so we'll see if you can willingly hang out with me."
Seriously, that 10 minute drive passed in a flash, but why am I focusing on that? Clay pulled into the school parking lot and I couldn't help but notice all the eager faces seeing such a flash car pull up. Luckily the windows were tinted so they couldn't see my embarrassed face at all the attention.
Without hesitation Clay climbed out, and his fan girls immediately picked up where they left off yesterday. Except now they can add rich to the list of things they think he is. He rolled his eyes at them and came over to the passenger door, he opened it and I felt blush coat my face as I stepped into the early morning sunlight.
When people saw me stepping out of the car they assumed belonged to Clay they began theorising why. Most assumed that Clay was rich and I worked for his family (even though it was the other fucking way around), but others, especially Clay's fanclub, believed that he was protecting me after I was beaten up by Nick, Zak and Wilbur yesterday. Great, more Clay the hero.
Immediately we were swarmed by Clay's fans, who bombarded me with questions like, 'so what is Clay like out of school?' and... well mainly just that.
After 2 short minutes I got tired of this and just whispered to Clay, "see you in class" before walking off to the library.
I could hear the blond trying to call out to me but ignored him. Being unwilling friends with him is hard.
Clay POV.
We walked along the hallway, the girls from yesterday still surrounding us. They kept asking George annoying questions about me and I could tell they were bothering him. The girls also wouldn't listen to me when I told them to piss off which frustrated us both further.
Eventually the brunette turned to me and whispered about meeting me in class before running off in the direction of the library.
I sighed and called out to him to come back but he didn't listen. So I pushed the girls away, who were reluctant and uncooperative before following the Brit.
He was sitting in a corner, I could see him from the door and slowly headed towards him. As I approached I heard some quiet conversations from the next row of shelves. I paused to listen.
"God George is so annoying!" The first voice said.
"I know, we totally would have nailed him yesterday if the new kid hadn't stepped in."
"At least he's not here now. That British shit is all on his own."
Around that time I saw the trio of boys from yesterday heading over towards George. They surrounded him and waited with amused expressions until he finally looked up.
"Morning homo, what ya reading?" The tall one with the British accent asked.
George POV.
I sat comfortably in my corner, for once the library wasn't empty. I glanced up from my book when I saw three figures standing around me, but gave a small, worried whimper when I saw who was there. "Morning homo, what ya reading?" Wilbur asked as he smirked down at me.
I just rolled my eyes and ignored them, attempting to go back to my book until Zak snatched it out of my hands. "This seems interesting." He laughed as he flicked carelessly through the pages.
"Give that back it doesn't belong to me!" I growled at him, attempting to reach up and grab it but he just pulled it out of my reach.
"Well surely if you don't own it you could still pay for it with your inheritance and all." He sneered before tossing the book over my head to Wilbur.
"Where's your friend Georgie? Did he finally see how pathetic you were and ditch you?" Nick asked, his cold glare matched with a powerful smirk sent chills down my spine and my eyes widened.
I turned my back to him and attempted to snatch the book away from Wilbur. My left arm reached out to try and grab it but Zak wrapped his arms around it and pulled back, causing me to go sprawling to the floor. The trio laughed and surrounded me, like vultures circling over fresh meat from the air and I felt for sure I was about to get beaten up. It looked like Wilbur was about to throw a punch at me but we heard a familiar voice coming from the aisle of books which caused the trio to turn. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything" the voice said in a somewhat cocky tone.
I couldn't see whoever it was talking but the way the trio of bullies tensed up it seemed obvious who it was. Clay. The 3 boys immediately backed up so I stood, well lay, in between them and the blond. They shakily helped me up and Clay motioned for me to come over to him, but before I did I heard Nick whisper something in my air, "the second your friend over there is gone I swear to god you're gonna get it!" Then he pushed me towards the blond.
Clay easily grabbed me before I hit the floor and pulled me into his chest, which caused me to blush brightly. On almost any other occasion Wilbur, Zak and Nick would have made a joke of my embarrassment but right now they were focused on not getting beaten up by someone who was bigger and no doubt stronger then them.
They disappeared out of the library and I felt Clay's grip loosen around me, allowing me to push myself off of him. His eyes began trailing up and down my body looking for any injuries, I shrugged him off with a simple "I'm fine."
The blonde sighed with relief as I said that but then his appearance turned to a frown. "Good. But you ran off from me and got hurt. I thought you were going to let me keep an eye on you and protect you."
I glanced curiously up at him, wondering what he was going to do "but you did protect me" I reminded him cautiously.
Clay let out a laugh, "but you ran off first."
I gulped worriedly as he grabbed me and pulled me back towards him. "You ran off Georgie. I told you not too but you did. So now I need to make sure you don't run off."
